a joint production of Oroboros and pkpotter

Oroboros:
pkpotter and I pmed a bit today and we thought this might be a fun combination plate for the CSNY fans. Given the passion and inspiration of this music both historically and currently, we thought that this vine would fit the bill. First on the menu will be a time trip to 1974 at Wembley Stadium (via DVD) and then the offering will be a 3 CD set from the most recent CSNY tour in 2006 .

The CSNY 'Then' show from 9-14-74 at Wembley Stadium (Wembley, Middlesex, England). This 2 DVD set is a 'freely traded' proshot (the video captured from on-stage cameras, which was then sent to the big video screens.) of that CSNY show. Consequently most shots are 'close-ups' with more infrequent 'wide shots' of the whole band, but on occasion we do see shots of the whole crowd in Wembley stadium going wild.

DVD I: Love the One You're With, Wooden Ships, Immigration Man, Helpless, Military Madness, Johnny's Garden, Traces, Almost Cut My Hair, Teach Your Children, Only Love Can Break Your Heart, The Lee Shore, Time After Time, It's All Right, Another Sleep Song, Hawaiian Sunrise, Star of Bethlehem, Love Art Blues, Old Man

DVD II: Change Partners, Blackbird, Myth of Sysiphus, You Can't Catch Me/Word Game, Suite:Judy Blue Eyes, Deja Vu, First Things First, Don't Be Denied, Black Queen, Pushed Over The End, Pre-Road Downs, Carry On, Ohio
This 2 DVD set includes acoustic and electric, and oh yes, Joni Mitchell sits in for harmonies on several of their songs :o}. (ah, 1974!)

The CSNY 'Now' show is a 3 CD set from CSNY's "Freedom of Speech '06" reunion tour (from an audience recording) on 7-23-06 in Fresno, California.

CD I-Flags of Freedom, Carry On, Wooden Ships, Long Time Gone, Military Madness, After the Garden, Living With War, The Restless Consumer, Shock and Awe, Wounded World, Almost Cut My Hair, Immigration Man, Families, Deja Vu

CD II- Helplessly Hoping, Our House, Only Love Can Break Your Heart, Guinevere, Milky Way Tonight, Treetop Flyer, Roger and Out, Southbound Train, Old Man Trouble, Carry Me, Teach Your Children, Southern Cross, Find The Cost of Freedom

CD III- Star Spangled Banner (Hendrix), Let's Impeach the President, For What It's Worth, Chicago, Ohio, What Are Their Names?, Rockin' in the Free World, E: Woodstock
The 2006 lineup is: CSNY with Rick Rosas- Bass, Chad Cromwell-Drums, Tom Bray-Trumpet, Spooner Oldham-Keys, AND Ben Keith- Pedal Steel & Lap Steel.

I can add camden 7-6. This was a tour that went straight to the heart, very relevant and beautiful. Four friends bringing out the best in each other.

I'll send this vine to Stuman next. I'll PM bearisgrateful one more time and give him another day or so.

UncleJON...good thinking, my man!

I know we are all busy, but he or she could jump back on the vine
at a later date. I know I have been guilty (blush) of spacing out big time
on some vines.

Got a PM from ramblinbearisgrateful with his addy. But bearisgrateful is up next. There's something happenin' round here, an what it is ain't exactly clear...

I sent ramblin a reply and if this isn't cleared up manana then this is going out to Stu instead.

I had just thought that "bearisgrateful"

*was* rambelinbearisgrateful, and he just didn't type his whole screenname when he signed up. I just tried a username search and there is no user named "bearisgrateful". I tried to find the post where "bearisgrateful" signed up on the list (to see if was really rambelin') but the #4 spot just magically appears when the topic made the transition from New Vines Continued to its own forum.

Very spooky. I'm guessing they're the same guy, Bear in New Jersey.
