He does...and he has been doing so - publicly - for the entire campaign. If there is truly one candidate who has been pushing the "country first" thing and bipartisanship thinking - it's Obama.
Hence the swing of independents & republicans in his direction.

What Bobby said. Just makes you so proud to see what the band has done. Yes, what a world we would have. I really thank the skies that they had the heart to stand for something and try and make a difference for all of us.
Thank you.

Barack Obama's mother, Ann, and her parents, Stanley and Madelyn Dunham were originally from southeast Kansas. Barack at age 10 was raised by his grandparents in Hawaii, where he finished high school. He began college in California, graduated from Columbia U. in NY, then graduated magna cum laude from Harvard Law School in 1991.
He's spending time, now, with his ailing grandmother, in Hawaii.
His African ethnicity comes from his father, Barack Obama, Sr., a native Kenyan. He died in a car accident when Barack, Jr. was 2. Barack's mother Ann remarried and lived in Indonesia. She eventually developed cancer and died in 1995 in Hawaii. Interesting family history relatives include Harry Truman and Dick Cheney....!!!
with Obama, or anyone whose parents are any type of mix...
what does S/HE consider her/himself? that would be the important thing.
I do not know how Obama, himself, describes himself concerning race.

Yes his mother was white, and yea why would a person be considered black, Wouldn't it be off black, or maybe grey, yea that's it touch of grey. and why say a black man running for pres or black canidate. You would think at this day and age it would be a man runnung for office that happens to be-whatever. I can't stand the whole political deal as for the white voters, the black voters, the women voters. bunch of BS. how bout just Voters. Think of this now. These are all targeted groups to win votes from does that mean Deadheads are a national minority and don't fall under youth or senior or black white etc. Or are there so many of us everyweir that without the Deadhead minority vote one may lose. Wow Deadheads the deciding factor in the future of America.
while the boy's sing round the fire
Not that it matters....but I believe his mother was white. But that is a something I always wondered. If a person has a white and black parent why is the child considered black? Again..not that it matters...black is beautiful..Just always wondered why that is?
& right for sure about the current pres of the last 8 yrs & his 73% (can we make it to 75% ??) bad ratings according to the news..........they never seem to mention about Obama being half white, as in his grandmother that's ill, I believe is white.....whatever color-he could be purple for all I care-as long as he gets us back on track as a nation. The only feelings I have for Bush is I feel sorry for the guy. Not that it matters.......to him or anyone......love Jon Stewart..Too bad more of middle America or wherever don't watch him........xoxox Gypsy Cowgirl
