just an fyi... nedbase has gone live!
Annotated Nedbase 1970 - 1975
Below are listed the performances, rehearsals, and recording sessions where Ned Lagin is known to have performed with the Grateful Dead, or with Phil Lesh, Jerry Garcia, and others. These occurred in the years between 1970 to 1975. This list is thought to be accurate but remains incomplete.
A remarkably intuitive and helpful site; I just searched out one of my favourite unrealeased shows (RFK 6/10/73)and jumped immediately to a Miller/Tobin SBD on AO, thanks!/kate
We have hand made a 24x36 Jerry Garcia poster entirely of his lyrics. Each song was carefully selected to capture the essence of the show at Son Et Lumiere Theater in Egypt. Check out our shop here! https://www.etsy.com/listing/175961772/jerry-garcia-lyric-poster-print-2...

I'm creating a religion formed by the ideas expressed by the Grateful Dead in their music. Check it out!
I hope you get some good responses from folks out there. You certainly put your finger on a huge problem out there, among many.
The problem you have here is that this site is mainly commercial in nature and deadhead oriented second. That is, unless it sells something for Rhino/Warner Brothers/Dead.net there is not going to be a lot of time put into it, if any at all.
So kudos to you for seeing a need and filling a hole. It's better than me bitching that we should have the vault indexed and graded, my pet peeve.
I have had two problems with online Grateful Dead resources.
1.) The data is a mess, there are multiple names for the same song (i.e., IKYR vs. I Know You Rider vs. Rider).
2.) There was no way for people to mark which versions of a song are their favorite, then have those favorites aggregated to let other people see what the community thinks the best versions are. In fact, I see the "what's your favorite version of song-x?" question a lot.
I tried to solve these problems by creating an open source project to solve the messy data problem. Then I built a website using that open source data to solve the "best version" problem. I'm hoping to get some community involvement and have people start marking songs as favorites.
The site is www.shiningbest.com
I'd love to know what you guys and gals think.
