Grateful Dead
The Dead to Tour in Spring!
The band says Happy New Year with an announcement of almost twenty shows in April and May. More details to come!
Wouldn't 2010 be their 45 year anniversary?? Hmmmm its all falling into place nicely, very nicely :-)
Dang it just hit me - 45 years ... unbelievable isn't it??
"Escaping through the lily fields, I came across an empty space. It rainbow then exploded, left a bus stop in its place. The bus come by and I got on, thats when it all began. It was Cowboy Neal at the wheel of the bus to never ever land"
we're up to 3000 posts in this thread. Marye needs a good excuse to start another one! C'mon boys, announce a smattering of late fall dates, another wild NYE jam-boree and big plans for next year!
Conversation is always more interesting than recitation, so speak your mind and not someone else's.
even better, WeshLeir!!
that would be so much better!!!
Wouldn't it be cool for them to make an announcement at Rothbury regarding an upcoming tour. That would be such an extra-special Independance Day, don't ya think!
Spring tour AFTER a cool NYE show!!
pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeze!!
With RatDog's and the Allman's schedule. But ol Bobby is the master of surprises (and endurance)! :-)
I think there is definitely a very good chance they will tour Spring 2010. Right boys?? Spring 2010? :-)

Weir is on tour much of the summer though...
still no word on the usual Fall Philathons as of yet... soooo;
in all honesty, I wouldn't really expect any Dead fall tour.
(if I make such a BOLD statement like the above, fate is destined to prove me wrong!!, sweet, Lord, prove me wrong, please. pretty please with sugar on top, prove me wrong)

Hey now George, I hope you know than I'm generally in your corner, but, will Fenway hold us all? I am just thinking about how painful it would be to not be able to get tickets in our own backyard. I think I might like your first thought of The Gardens (or whatever the hell they call it now) better, if only for the grater seating capacity. And if we're talking Sept, how about 9/29/09? That would be the 25th of a certain old couple of Dead fans:) Hey, it never hurts to dream!
They came in Montréal ONE DAY in 1967. I was 13 and not even lived there. Lucky people with hometown show. Share the LOVE.
