Don't Miss: Upcoming Shows by Other Bands and Artists
marye:
Many of your posts seemed to address northwest artists & issues so naturally, I just figured...
Anyway, thanks again for the Cast of Clowns info. I'll at least check them out at Voyage East (Pauwela Cannery) for the Saturday show. The weather here has been pretty crappy (for Maui) over the last few months so I'm not too sure about getting advanced tix for the Friday night outdoor show - right on the water - on the north shore!!! We're talking 65 to 70 degrees cold and rain! :-)
Aloha from Maui!
I'm in Oakland. So I know nothing of Supertrout!
But I suspect you'll like Cast of Clowns, and tell Greg Anton I said hi.
And Maui, pretty great!
marye:
As the subject says - interesting that I just found your post about Cast of Clowns.
They will be here on Maui next week with Barry Sless.
It was a real treat to have Barry and the David Nelson Band here a month or so ago. I'm looking forward to hear Cast of Clowns. I've listened to some of their tracks on various websites so I'm getting anxious.
BTW, I've noticed that you are a pretty active poster from the Northwest. As such, what do you think of Supertrout? A friend back in Eugene recommended them to me a coupla months ago and apparently they are getting pretty big around Oregon. I was lucky to catch their show at Charley's in Pa'ia last month.
I enjoyed meeting a bunch of the band members and Paul Biondi on horns was a real treat. I recorded and posted the show on archive.org.
Anyway, whaddya think?

Check my band if ya want. We are playing with David Gans and Heliotroupe Next month. I was about to do another Dead cover especially since Gans was coming to town, then I thought it might be too cliche' and I got this urge to play a Steel Pulse song.

Do not overlook David Byrne tour.
Todd is a cool guy and it's great to get a good report!
Just went to see todd rundgren, small old movie theatre, reminded me of the mid 70's shows in sf. 4 days in april at the waldorf and such, saw dozens of those. He was abosutly at the top of his game. Kasim was there on keyboards and vocals, Prarie Prince on drums, Jesse Gras on guitar, and a young lady, Racheal on bass and vocals, who by the way was just magical. An absolutly wonderful effort by a great songwriter, musician, producer and one of the great minds in music of this time.
The show was awe inspiring, invigorating, and very warm. All in one. Don't miss this one.He is in the moment of our times and is making powerful music that reflects it.
peace,pk
