My band, theCAUSE in Pittsburgh, PA played its Annual Halloween show right after Rat Dog played in Munhall on 11/1/08. We JUST put it up for FREE download/listen for anyone & everyone to (hopefully) enjoy! We were joined all night long by Jill Paone Simmons on vocals, Cherylann Hawk on vocals & acoustic guitar and Patti Spadaro on electric guitar! It was one amazing, fun night of music & good vibes. I'll pass it on.
No disrespect intended to those involved, but don’t you think you are rather overdoing the in depth interviews with various members of Ratdog and Phil and Friends? Could we not have a few more features about the actual Grateful Dead (such as the excellent Richard Loren interview you posted about the Egypt shows). How about more interviews with folks who were there, recollections, stories, characters, features about classic shows and tours etc ? Blair Jackson must have a mass of unused material from his Garcia book. I’m grateful for the Donna interview a while back, but why no big interviews with Bob, Mickey, Phil and Bill? So how about focusing a little more on ‘classic’ Grateful Dead features (without altogether dropping the 'present day' features)?
Blair Jackson has posted a memorial piece, and there is a forum topic for Merl tributes, as well as the regular Merl Friends and Family topic.
All my best to his family qand friends. Maerl Saunders will be missed.
Happy birthday to a wonderful soul. Thanks for the music and the memories.
everybody going to the "not quite the dead" show...
HOPE YOU HAVE A REAL GOOD TIME!
hey now- I can relate to broken toes. Whilest on the Europe '90 tour, I broke 2 toes, right off the bat in Stockholm. As the innocent kids sat on the bed, my toes happened to be underneathe while it collapsed......we iced it immediately & I got crutches til we hit Germany...........after 18 years, they're ok now! Good luck on yours & may they mend quickly! xoxox Gypsy Cowgirl
What's up guys, I just wanted to give everyone a heads up about the inaugural Chicago Bluegrass & Blues festival, this 11/22 at the historic Congress Theater, all benefiting the Saving Tiny Hearts Societies fight against the country's most common birth defect.
The first 10 folks that hit me up at email@example.com will get a pair of tickets mailed to them. We're excited for you to help us spread the word about this righteous endeavor
Thanks grdaed73 and marye, darn toes they are alsways in the way. I tripped on all these darn vines growing in our living room.......hmm.
Like mom said "it's all fun and games until someone breaks a toe"
