Why aren't you playing a show with Welcome to the Dance in it!? Or New years at least.
Would like to hear their new stuff
You're getting pretty good at this. You sure do make me laugh a lot. Thanks for brightening my morning!
Won't you come out to play!
If there's any way you can get the new Furthur song,Welcome to the Dance, into the rotation that would be nice. I hope there is a chance of a live New year's eve broadcast, or maybe a new years day re'broadcast if live ain't gonna work.
Till we all fall down
It'll do you fine
Nice "Simple Twist" yesterday and t.i.f. this morning. Old and In the Way is real fun to play on guitar. I never learned it til that last post. Now I have a Grisman song in my repitoirre!
Let there be songs, to fill the air
I'm just old & in the way.
The future's here, we are here, we're on our own.
I really enjoyed Till The Morning Comes this morning by Pickin On The Grateful Dead. Never heard of them before, but I hope to hear some more!!
hey there. anyone know what show the Franklin's tower is from that was aired on the slot where Jackie Green guest dj'd? its phenomenal... best one i've ever heard. I must have that show!
I enjoyed tonight's show, as usual. I appreciated the insights about muscians "borrowing", "stealing", "Interpreting" other artists' songs, styles, etc. This is what truly keeps the music alive, isn't it?
I was especially touched by the idea that everything a muscian gleans and absorbs from other artists through research, playing or listening to their music contributes - over time - to that muscian's own voice and style as an artist. I can't think of a better example of this than Jerry Garcia, who was a true music academic - ever seeking, exploring and learning his craft.
PS: Can't wait till Furthur on the East Coast!
"Inspiration, move me brightly"
I'm pulling for the last show, sure would love to hear that Cosmic Charlie.
