If You're Going to San Francisco...
By request from one of the Dead.net locals who's planning a trip to the city by the Bay. People to meet, things to see, and any other cool stuff you'd like to mention.
Notwithstanding the title, flowers in your hair are not quite the fashion statement they once were, but in the springtime...
but if you're in Santa Cruz next week, come on down to Bookshop Santa Cruz, where Paul Grushkin will be signing copies of Dead Letters starting at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, October 9.
it's going to be fabulous!
We loved it so much, we'll gonna be back sept. 30 to oct. 12. See you at HSB!
the Jerry Day show? The Giants game? Just hanging out?
Tell us your plans!
to go with your Jerry bobblehead, you might want to check out this event on July 8: Bill Graham Tribute Night at the Giants!
in the general nabe of the Fillmore, you might want to check out this panel discussion of five guys who knew Bill Graham well, talking about him and their various adventures. On the walls at the gallery, a great photo exhibition also. Gallery's pretty small, so I would recommend getting there early if you go.
Bob Barsotti, Mickey Hart, Steve Parish, Jerry Pompili & Bill Thompson. The panel will take place in the Gallery at the Jazz Heritage Center/Lush Life Gallery, 1320-1330 Fillmore St., San Francisco. Doors at 5pm, panel discussion to start shortly thereafter.

early heads up that there's going to be a GD Day at the Giants again, but there aren't too many details up on the site yet, I don't think. You might want to plan on some baseball fun if you're in town that week though.
My partner and I are so stoked to be hitting the Bay area for the first time this August. We're coming during Jerry week and catching some music: Phish and Karl Denson at Lake Tahoe, and Outside Lands. Any other netters heading to these shows? We're going to do a lot of sightseeing (including Berkeley) and hope to jam with some musical folks, too.
If you're planning on being around in the first two weeks of August and want to meet some kind Canadians, say hey!
check out the Greek!
