Well, what with his great work with Phil and then the Dead Heads for Obama show, young Jackie is pretty much a household word in these parts and probably ought to have his own topic. So here it is!

Having watched the DFO show a couple of times now, I think it would be a mistake to not include him in any subsequent reunion shows, should we be lucky enough to get any. But it's not like I have any say in the matter.

I can only image where else he might have gone on that lead in Sugaree if he hadn't bent his G and B stings flat. Good interplay with Mark Karan, and excellent work on vocals. I'm ready for more.

Conversation is always more interesting than recitation, so speak your mind and not someone else's.

new album in progress

According to his Web site, Jackie Greene is hard at work on a new album called Giving Up the Ghost. Lots more info on the site, and I'm sure we'll be hearing more about it as things progress.

Meanwhile, how about them shows?
