Oops - sorry.
It's not a link. But copied and pasted into your browser should work.
Sometimes it's a drag being on the east coast. And August 5th is my birthday too! Marye, I look forward to reading about it!
Yo Soy Boricua!
i hear ya lead, dying to go to sf one of these days. especially for a cool festie or somthing.
nothing left to do but smile, smile, smile
I vote for an invocation of remaining Dead members, as well as extended group members, such as Davids Nelson & Grisman, Bobs Weir & Dylan, Jorma, Los Lobos, ect...
Invoke them, invite them, insist upon their participation. Of course, then Jerry Between Days will have to relocate to a larger venue... I believe there are several coice spots in The Bay Area...
Happy Birthday, Jerry!!
And, a gentle reminder for Bay Area fans of Jerry's music that Jerry Day 2007 is fast upon us!
Sunday, 5 August
Jerry Garcia Amphitheatre - McLaren Park
San Francisco
www.jerryday.org <-- all the details and map, here.
The line-up is stunner, and the weather very promising!
Stu Allen (JGB Band), Pat Nevins (Workingman's Ed) and Stewball (Jelly) did a rousing version of Bird Song on KFOG this morning, and nailed it! Amazing show coming, folks...
Come join us, and celebrate Jerry's music.
I'll be there for Jerry day on the 5th....He's Gone....but never forgotten....You know our love won't fade away!!!
Hey there Jerry. Thanks for the great times!
I went to Jerry Day yesterday in San Francisco, at McLaren Park, near Harrington Street where Jerry lived as a child. I was born in the same hospital, Children's Hospital, in 1949, that Jerry was born in in 1943. The bus driver told me he went to Mission High School. Stu is great, and Melvin on the keyboards, and the two girl singers, and the bassist and drummer. The best was,
"Brothers and Sisters". 2nd best was "Will The Circle Be Unbroken?".

I'd like to let folk know about www.jerryday.org - a great annual festival in Jerry Garcia Amphitheatre of MacLaren Park, in Jerry's teen neighborhood, the Excelsior District of San Francisco. The festival is true to the spirit, and this year features some wonderful Bay Area bands:
