I am so excited! From all the reviews I have read about the festival I can harldy wait!! Time to fire up the ol' Subaru for one more cross country trip to see our favorite band. This will be quite the adventure - bringing my wife and 5 yr old daughter (I do think it is lame to charge so much for a 5 yr old but anywho..) and being that we are newbies to both this festival and to Michigan for that matter we should be in for some (hopefully pleasent) surprises!! Can't wait to see everybody once again. Safe travels to all... "Escaping through the lily fields, I came across an empty space. It rainbow then exploded, left a bus stop in its place. The bus come by and I got on, thats when it all began. It was Cowboy Neal at the wheel of the bus to never ever land"

Hey Jack Straw- yes. It's nothing like Roo, where you have to walk 2 miles to get to the gate. Everything is pretty reasonable in terms of walking distance. Once you get in, it's a bit of a hike back to the main stage (Odeum) and the Sherwood Court stage, but the walk is thru the sherwood forest so it's all good. Be sure to stop and check out the hammocks or the tripolee dome for some trippy good times in the forest. They have golf cart taxis all weekend to take you to the entrance if you get tired, and be sure to check out the indoor water park. There's a shuttle that leaves every 15 minutes for that. Don't swim in the lake- it's nasty. Great general store, and nothin but nothin but good all weekend long!!! Enjoy! See you there, Salmon Will

Can you walk (like reasonable walking distance) from the campground to where the concerts are? I couldn't find info like that on the website. Thank you for any help you can provide. :-) "Escaping through the lily fields, I came across an empty space. It rainbow then exploded, left a bus stop in its place. For all who couldn't get enough of Spring Tour and for all who couldn't make it, this is the one! Outdoor shows make up in atmosphere what they lack in sound quality - I always cherish the blending of the music with the sounds of the night anyway... Can't wait to camp with all you lovely people. Lots of great music - too much to choose from. Let's jam!

Having caught just two shows from the spring tour (Philly), I'm so grateful for the chance to see the boys one more time before they scatter to their "solo" bands for a while. I'm bringing my brother-in-law (his 50th b-day present), who's new to the bus (his only other show was accompanying me to the Phil-less Garcia tribute at Berkeley in '05), and it's always a joy to bring someone new to the scene and watch as the magic inevitably sweeps over them. Mr. Zimmerman headlining on Sunday night is a helluva bonus, too! Also looking forward to the four-hour ferry ride across Lake MI (I'm convinced I was a sailor in a previous life ;-). Planning to arrive Friday night...see ya there!

Hey , You are right Rothbury is a really cool festival, last year was the first one. Phil was there with Jackie Green and it was excellent. Jackie Green will be playing there again also. I took the ferry accross Lake Michigan and it was perfect for getting there, what a great way to do it. Going solo again this year, this is not a problem , if you are looking for some people to hook up with , go to the following website called www.infobury.com, tons of people are hooking up for this fest. I think this is the best fest again this summer Hang loose and maybe we can all run into each other
