By request of TigerLilly, who got quite the miracle ticket, a place for Shoreline-goers to converge, at least till something more official comes along... That's May 10 and 14, of course.

Campgrounds/Rv parks/Parking Lot

Does everyone think this is going to be a classic dead show parking lot? It sound like it might be. How about local campgrounds and RV parks or parks for that matter where dead heads might be staying? CANNOT WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

Parking lot/overnight camping/RV/shoreline

Is this going to be a typical Dead Show parking lot experience? Can we stay overnight in the parking lot? If not where will most dead heads be staying? Does anyone think that the MOuntain View area surrounding shoreline will be jammed with dead heads between the 10th and the 14th? Like the old days?

hotels

I will be renting at least one hotel room and would be willing to lesome people stay if they can't find a spot. Maybe even 2 hotel rooms. maionchi_crowley@yahoo.com - Chris-

Okay, I report happily that my Shoreline mail order tix arrived yesterday and we're in the 200s, so it's all good! This on Sunday. So I am definitely looking forward to meeting folks.

We might want to figure out some meeting place outside the seating area, because Shoreline security is fairly strict about keeping you in your compartments as I recall. I think there's a venue map online so maybe we should start studying it...

Meet up sounds cool

Would like to meet some of you left coast folks!!!

The east coast crew will be there in full force!!!!

Got my 5/10 THX GDTSTOO!!!!!

Got my 5/10 ticket for Shoreline last week! Sec 102 row CC - I had to look at it 3 times to make sure I wasn't trippin'!!! Then I had to go online to check the seating chart to make sure it was where I thought it was - it is!!! I am incredibly happy - I may have to send a box o' chocolates to the folks at GDTSTOO! I'm hoping Shoreline will allow hand held digital cameras for this show. For those who have been to Shoreline - do you remember what their camera policy is? I am looking for some kind peeps to hang out with between 5/10 & 5/14. I wanna check out Haight Ashbury, Fisherman's Warf, maybe Alcatraz - and the ever so freaky Winchester house. It's trying to snow outside but I think my smile's gonna melt it all away. Spring time's a commin' music's in the air - and you know we all gonna be dancin in the aisle!!! All the best to each of you!!!

meeting up

I am going to be on the lawn for both nights! On the 11th, myself and 3 other friends are going to be camping in La Honda ( near S.F.), The park is called Sam McDonald County Park - They have a hikers hut which sleeps 14 that I am considering renting. Now this place is totally secluded. It is right next to Ken Kesey's old cabin. Actually the cabin itself is in the park. Right where the electric koolaid acid test was! There is still some day-glo paint on the trees! If anyone wants to hop along just contact me.

ABB May 12-13 at the Fox in Oakland

HM! Just got an email from the Another Planet folks (the true BGP folks who, much to Live Nation/Clear Channel's annoyance, bailed from the company and started their own when Bill Graham Presents got bought by the aforementioned Clear Channel, and where the general vibe of BGP can still be found...):

The Allman Brothers Band is at the Fox in Oakland for two nights between the two Shoreline shows.

This is interesting for a couple of reasons. The Fox is an old movie palace that just opened last month after years of restoration, and judging by the pix it is nothing short of stunning. (Our other theater of that type, the Paramount, is a thing of amazing beauty also.) It is probably worth going just to see it.

I probably won't go, because I doubt I'm going to have the recreational bux. But this does raise the fascinating possibility of an Oakland meetup. Preferably at our old favorite from the Henry J days, Mama's Royal Cafe, home of the best breakfast in town and the lunches ain't bad either. Also it is walking distance from my house.

So there you have it! If you want to pursue tix, go to the Another Planet site and check it out.

Very interesting Marye

I got my 5/12 & 5/13 ABB tix from ticketbastard today. I'm cool with gettin' together - get me a snail mail address and time to be there and I'll plug it in my GPS.
