Meet Me at the Spectrum
The month of May kicks off with two shows in Philly, May 1 and 2.
Hey Flowerchild1 Read Hookah's post above they seem to be the best aftershow shows,
Going to watch them "tear this ol building down" Sat May 2nd.. But want to continue the good vibes afterwards Any news pass it along like a box of rain my fellow heads.
I CANT WAIT FOR THESE 2 PHILLY SHOWS
DONNA JEAN AFTER FRIDAY
BAND OF BROTHERZ AT THE TLA AFTER SATURDAY
LOT D2 IS THE RATDOG.ORG MEET UP
IT'D BE CHILL TO MEET SOME DEAD.NET FOLK
SOME FOLKS LOOK FOR ANSWERS
OTHERS LOOK FOR FIGHTS
I can tell your future
Look what's in your hand
But I can't stop for nothing
I'm just playing in the band
Plans changed, so I'm selling two Sec. 213, Row 6 seats for face value ($100 each).
It's a shame, as both the D.C. and Charlottesville shows were great, and this one will be historic - last on the East Coast this tour and last at the Spectrum.
"Ain't no time to hate,
Barely time to wait.
Who-oh what I want to know,
Where does the time go?"
can't wait to rock the spectrum
lot scene should be cool
as stated above
play it cool as staties
are " cleanin up philly"
crashed for abit in tha car in albany
but i was in a private lot and
the owner said we could stay all night
that surely won't be allowed in philly
stayin sane enough to drive to a rest
area is the best idea
all above cheesesteak spots are great
any south philly sub shop will have
pat's and geno's are philly institutions
post show they'll be overflowin
see ya there
peace and love to all
The band Attitune is going to try to set up a preshow jam in the parking lot. Look for a flag with decorations. Everyone is welcome to come hang out. We are going to have an open mike/jam bring some instruments or use ours. any questions e-mail email@example.com.
It'll be my first Dead show as well, got tix to the 5/2 show, but gonna go down Friday afternoon for the parking lot scene. I am so excited. I've got the whole weekend off work and boy oh boy am I going to need it! It's gonna be something else seeing them play their last show at the ol' Spectrum.
For all you Philly newcomers, Cheesesteaks - Pat's and Geno's are both great and located right next to each other.
South Street is a great place to hit too while you're in the area, lot's of neat little shops and restaurants. (And Jim's Steaks)
You can't leave cars overnight in the Sports Complex lots, and pretty much the South/North Philly areas aren't very safe to just camp out in your car. As stated the Philly cops are generally pretty mellow, but as of last year, State Police invaded the city as a measure to "help take the burden off the City cops" The Staties and the Philly Cops do not get along at all, some of that whole "we don't need your help" kinda shit. I know Philadelphia was not too thrilled to have State Police within the city limits though. But for the most part, The Philly police have bigger fish to fry then Deadheads pre and post concert. Just don't do anything stupid in plain site and you'll be just fine :)
My girlfriend and I made some cool tye-dye shirts for the show, but everyone's gonna be in tye-dye! We definitely need a big flag with the site's name on it as a central base. And anyone with a blackberry or iPhone should post a general location of where it is on the website for people to find once they're down there! Because the sport's complex is pretty large! It's not like the ol' days a lot of you folks were used to with just The Spectrum and The Vet. Time's have changed!!
Hope to see you all there
8 daze and counting down....
Meet me at da busdriver's orange bus!!
Looking forward to my first shows in a while since I've been in Europe for some time now. Philly always has a good show in store.
Going to my FIRST DEAD SHOWS - 5/1 and 5/2. Looking to get there early and have a blast with a cool crowd! What time are people getting down there? Cameras allowed inside? Any relative info appreciated!!!!
