New Navigation Tools on Dead.net

We've been listening to you, and we've just added new tools to the site that we hope will help address some of the issues you've been raising.

Note the new filtering tool at the top of the Recent Posts page. Whether you want to go straight to a particular area, or eliminate it from your searches, that's now easy to do.

Likewise in the discussions. There are some navigational issues that, for the moment, we can't solve, but we can help you work around them. Specifically, those who want to see most recent posts first and those who prefer to see them last can each have their wish.

We hope these enhancements help you feel more comfortable and at home here, and we welcome your comments and suggestions as we continue down the road.

Thanks!

The Dead.net Team

hidden buttons

hidden buttons too summon cc...

just gotta shine that giant Steal Your face light in the sky light the Bat Signal.

barring that, just open the window and yell, 'yo cc! dinner is ready'

hope all is well with you and the Mrs. mate.

I made it to the dark, sunny side of the street over there, but didn't stay late enough to see Elvis.

peace.

Hi!

Appreciate all the effort that must go into the navigational improvements. The new filtering scheme is effective, but I'm guessing a lot of people won't be able to, or put the effort required into learning to use it. Hopefully they'll take the time but since a lot never bothered to learn to use the search box or navigate the hierarchical forum menu, I have my doubts.

Being able to have the last page of posts in the front is good, and not being kicked back to the first/earliest page after posting a comment is also good; having the most recent post at the top of the page, not so good. The last post is way up at the top, and the comment box is way down at the bottom. Have to scroll up and down between the reply you are typing and the comment you are replying to. With that logic the comment box should be at the top of the comments since it is going to be the most recent post.

Just being cranky. Carry on.

thanks for listening Deadnet team and for coming up with some clever work arounds to make things quicker and easier (and thanks too for badgering them about it Marye!). Now I can spend less time waiting, less time navigating and more time writing boring posts.

and hey...whatever you did also got CC Joe back again....is there a hidden 'summon CC' button here somewhere?

Ditto on "Nice!"

Go out of town one weekend and the world changes. Well, it's always doing that isn't it? Thanks for the options and hang in there.

Wow, this is the biggest change

since we originally changed over to the new site. I have to scope this out.
Thanks much to marye and all the gizmonoids that were able to retrofit for us group of reprobates so that we can pontificate (sorry but that was a long time coming).
But I will stop there (even though I could go on and on and on....).

The Truth is realized in an instant, the act is practiced step by step.
