Thanks to dstache and wilbanks for keeping the spluttering flame going. Add me to those interested in any and all Jerry (good week for that!). Also if anyone is looking for a vine that has died send me a PM. If I have it, it is yours. Always happy to share as others have shared with me.

I'm glad there is interest! I also received a PM. What I am going to do is vine everything (Wilbags says it is 4 discs) but I will spot check the shows and give sound quality grades, though with the caveat that they have only been spot checked. He sent them yday so I should have them by the weekend and will try to post the vine within a week or so after that.

Wilbanks, who is new to the vineyard, is sending me the '78 JGB. I was thinking of spot checking the shows for sound quality, and vining those that are worthy. Or I could just vine everything. Thoughts either way appreciated.

I know there is some frustration with the lack of activity here. I'm still interested in receiving vines and just from the response to my recent PF and LZ vines, there are many others who are interested too. I'd love to see a JGB 78 vine. Perusing the Jerry site, I see that there are circulating recordings for the following shows: 2/18, 2/19, 3/9, 3/10, 3/11, 3/12, 3/14, 3/16, 3/17, 3/19, 3/22, 6/11, 6/18, 8/12, 10/3, 10/7, 10/8, 10/10, 10/24, 10/26, 10/27, 10/28, and 11/3. I'd like to eliminate the poorer recordings but I don't know what's what, as Jerry's shows aren't available on Archive. If someone has these shows or wants to download them, I'd be happy to spot check them and eliminate the poor ones. Thanks!

Hey now the 10 year anniversary is quickly approaching and I was wondering if anyone out there happens to have a copy (flac) of the July 7th and 8th 2003 Red Rock shows that would be willing to trade with me? I could have sworn I had all 5 nights. I seem to remember a vine way back when? Can anyone help me celebrate? :)

These are some great copies of some classic Beatles bootlegs. I usually don't like fan edit stuff, but these are a little different. All of these are tapes that were not good quality to begin with. They have been cleaned up, with whole background conversations removed in some cases. They have also been ran through Adobe Audition and given a sort of "faux stereo" sound. Every now and then some have an erie mellotron effect to them. This will be on 6 cdr's with flac files on a dvd. River Rhine tapes (Will include More and Final River Rhine Tapes. These tapes were recorded for a television documentary so the audio tapes were not the highest priority. A lot of funny studio talk and different takes on songs.) Rooftop Concert (The complete concert including conversation and the band speaking to the crowd forming down in the street.) White Album Outtakes (This is my own edit. Basically the White Album reconstructed from studio outtakes.) 6 cdr's with flac files on a dvd

1978 Patchwork Quilt VineHere is the rest of 1978 that is not A) an official release; or B) yet available in the Vineyard. I just got a new job and free time is going to be harder to come by here soon so I wanted to get some music out to yinz while I can. This is a mix of SBDs and AUDs with a couple of nice MTXs thrown in there. I actually enjoy/don't mind AUDs and these here for the most part, are very enjoyable. The 2 December Texas shows aren't so hot, but that is what is available of those shows, so I included them for completists sake. Also, I am missing a show or two that is not in the Vineyard so we'll have to get those added at a later time. A HUGE bonus with this vine is that ALL shows are tagged!!! Ready to convert or what have you. Let's get this vine a home and I'll send it out pronto. Peace everyone. 8 DVDs in FLAC/SHN format: gd78-04-06.81508.mtx.tobin.sbeok.t-flac16 gd78-04-07.83715.sbd.miller.sbeok.t-flac16 gd78-04-08.83716.sbd.miller.sbeok.t-flac16 gd78-04-15.86412.mtx.chappell.sb24.t-flac16 gd78-04-24.97543.sbd.miller.sbeok.t-flac16 gd78-05-09.12184.aud-sony54p.vernon.sbeok.t-flac16 gd78-05-13.17406.aud-sonyECM33p.rolfe-weiner.sbeok.t-flac16 gd78-05-16.08333.aud-AKGd202e.weiner.sbeok.t-flac16 gd78-06-04.94407.sbd.miller.sbeok.t-flac16 gd78-06-25.07048.sbd.cotsman.sbefixed.t-flac16 gd78-07-01.97424.aud-sonyecm54p.wagner.minches.t-flac16 gd78-07-03.97601.aud-sonyecm54p.wagner.minches.t-flac16 gd78-08-30.11479.aud.wiley.sbeok.t-flac16 gd78-08-30.110151.sbd-set2.miller.t-flac16 gd78-08-31.20726.aud-sbd.miller.sbeok.t-flac16 gd78-11-13.11483.aud.wiley.sbeok.t-flac16 gd78-11-14.100205.aud-nak300.rolfe-miller.sbeok.t-flac16 gd78-11-16.11486.psbd.wiley.sbeok.t-flac16 gd78-11-17.07687.sbd.acoustic.dodd.sbeok.t-flac16 gd78-11-18.81131.sbd.miller.sbeok.t-flac16 gd78-11-20.95660.sbd.fix.miller.sbeok.t-flac16 gd78-11-21.87203.sbd.carpenter-andrewf.sbeok.t-flac16 gd78-11-23.96031.fob.walker-scotton-miller.sbeok.t-flac16 gd78-11-24.87642.pre-fm.miller.sbeok.t-flac16 gd78-12-13.25717.sbd.miller.sbeok.t-flac16 gd78-12-15.09479.aud-sony54p.wiley.sbeok.t-flac16 gd78-12-16.82211.fob-sonyecm250-dolbyb.walker-scotton-miller.sbeok.t-flac16 gd78-12-17.92528.aud-sonyecm250.walker-scotton-miller.sbeok.t-flac16 gd78-12-19.19507.fob-sony54p.wagner.sbeok.t-flac16 gd78-12-19.102429.sbd-s1.miller.t-flac16 gd78-12-21.15209.aud.cotsman.sbeok.t-flac16 gd78-12-22.14562.aud.cotsman.sbeok.t-flac16 gd78-12-27.09480.sbd.wiley.sbeok.t-flac16 gd78-12-28.35159.sbd.tetzeli.fix-7487.t-flac16 gd78-12-30.18092.sbd.miller.sbeok.t-flac16

This is a vine by Jake R. I am copy/pasting it from the jettisoned "new decade, new vines" vine. Please give jake the credit for this vine. November 1970 Vine I've decided to offer up this little 5 DVD vine. However, almost all of these are auds so listener beware. That being said, you will find some true gems in these shows. This was originally going to be a 2 DVD vine with one source/transfer of each show but I have decided to include all known sources/transfers of the auds so you, the listener, can pick which you like. *NOTE: Apparently 11/23 could be 11/16 gd70-11-05.aud.harlan.9356.sbeok.shnf gd70-11-05.aud.sirmick.30115.sbeok.flac16 gd70-11-05.aud.warner.17182.sbeok.shnf gd70-11-06.aud.d3new.hanno.19922.sbeok.shnf gd70-11-06.aud.warner.17183.sbeok.shnf gd70-11-06.aud.evans.3338.sbefail.shnf gd70-11-07.aud.warner.10306.sbeok.flac16 gd70-11-07.aud.toner.berger.100330.flac16 gd70-11-07.aud.weinberg.moore.berger.98264.flac16 gd70-11-07.aud.weinberg.moore.berger.98263.flac24 gd70-11-08.aud.lee.gd-nrps.26975.shnf gd70-11-08.aud.owens.23474.sbeok.shnf gd70-11-08.aud.partial.unknown.94500.sbeok.flac16 gd70-11-08.aud.warner.17184.sbeok.shnf gd70-11-08.aud.weinberg.cousinit.18639.sbeok.shnf gd70-11-08.aud.weiner.28609.sbeok.shnf gd70-11-09.aud.hanno.07591.sbeok.flac16 gd70-11-10.aud.cotsman.17032.sbeok.flac16 gd70-11-10.aud.hanno.8837.sbefail.shnf gd70-11-11.aud.cotsman.17081.sbeok.shnf gd70-11-11.aud.sirmick.31154.sbeok.flac16 gd70-11-16.sbd.winters.17361.sbeok.flac16 gd70-11-20.aud.cotsman.09001.sbeok.flac16 gd70-11-21.sbd-fragment.hanno.14858.sbeok.lac16 gd70-11-23.sbd.lai.4734.sbeok.shnf gd70-11-29.aud.hanno.07592.sbeok.flac16 1) Long Dead

So here is almost all of the Fall 1983 shows that are not already available for the pickens' here in the lush auditory fields of the Vineyard. I'm a big fan of 1983 and there are some real gems here. This is everything from 9/13 forward excluding 10/18. It's available, I just haven't grabbed it yet. I wanted to get some more music flowing now that the "Vineyard Wormholes" and gremlins have been put in check. A BIG thanks to Mary and all the Dead.net IT folks for all their hard work and Deadication. Thank you!! I think the Dead were on fire for all of this Fall 1983 tour, especially the Mountain shows(9/2-9/11) and the east coast stuff featured here. St Stephen makes it's last 3 appearances during this tour as I am sure most of you know. 10/17 and 10/21 are exceptional shows and the Matrices of these shows are AWESOME!! Enjoy, and remember to be kind to each other. 4 DVD's gd83-09-13.senn441.miller.fix.110772.flac16 gd83-09-18.sbd.dodd.17409.sbeok.shnf gd83-09-24.nak700.guch.poris.russjcan.98308.sbeok.flac16 gd83-09-24.sbd.set1.wiley.9201.sbeok.shnf gd83-10-08.senn441.silberman.miller.97883.sbeok.flac16 gd83-10-09.senn421.daweez.d5scott.111240.sbeok.flac16 gd83-10-11.sbd.bertha.ashley.26459.sbeok.flac16 gd83-10-12.mtx.groves.92461.sbeok.flac16 gd83-10-15.mtx.seamons.99326.sbeok.flac16 gd83-10-17.fob.senn441_u87.eaton.miller.91126.sbeok.flac16 gd83-10-17.mtx.seamons.ht03.92424.flac16 gd83-10-20.ficca.brennan.markezin.19515.sbeok.shnf gd83-10-21.dmtx.seamons.105419.flac16 gd83-10-21.sbd.bertha.ashley.24998.sbeok.shnf gd83-10-22.sbd.drgseeds.17274.sbeok.shnf gd83-10-30.sbd.miller.22800.sbeok.shnf gd83-10-31.sbd.tetzeli.34934.sbeok.shnf (1) JGB filler show taboot, taboot Let It Grow..........

I picked a splice point on both tracks, deleted the redundant material in between, and fused the two into one seamless track (new d3t01), then got rid of d2t08. The nonseekable shns were converted to FLAC and any resulting SBEs from the fix were corrected with shntool. Bill Tetzeli (btet@adelphia.net) 4/7/2006 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ When this source was first circulated, the flac files contained REPLAYGAIN tags. The wav files compressed inside the flac files are fine, but if you listen to the flac files themselves using a player like WinAMP, these tags cause all the tracks to be played at the same volume. That's not good for concerts where some tracks are supposed to be louder than others. There's a new version of this source available. It has exactly the same wav files; it's just the flac wrapper that's different, the wrapper doesn't have REPLAYGAIN set anymore. The new version has the same ffp file (since the wav's are the same), but a new md5 file (since the flac files are different). The md5 file for the old source is called "orig-flac-replaygain-md5"; the md5 file for the good new source is called "flac-md5". If you have a source for this that matches the ffp, you can create the new source by unflac'ing the old source and then recompressing at flac level 8 using the flac command line tool or the flac frontend. From now on, only the new version of the source should be circulated. All these new improvements are slowly eroding my confidence in this system. Disappearing vines, lost messages, etc. Sorry but it has become almost impossible to work with this new, improved system. Best Wishes to All!! I'll be around alot less until the gurus actually accomplish something!! Jimmy

By the grace of mary, I have been granted permission to combine all of the parts of the Spring 1988 Tour together into one vine. This vine will not include 4/1 nor 3/31 due to RT 4.2.A big thanks goes to JSFC and kwitt for their contribution on gettin these good shows out there again and to good ol Ltapilot for starting these great vines. gd88-03-24.sbd.miller.91232.flac16 gd88-03-26.sbd.miller.91158.flac16 gd88-03-28.sbd.miller.91233.sbeok.flac16 gd88-03-30.sbd.miller.91159.flac16 gd88-04-03.sbd.miller.91161.sbeok.flac16 gd88-04-04.sbd.miller.91162.sbeok.flac16 gd88-04-05.sbd.miller.91234.sbeok.flac16 gd88-04-07.sbd.miller.91163.flac16 gd88-04-08.sbd.miller.91240.flac16 gd88-04-09.sbd.miller.91241.flac16 gd88-04-11.sbd.miller.91243.flac16 gd88-04-22.sbd.hinko.26818.sbeok.flac16 gd88-04-23.sbd.hinko.28710.sbeok.flac16 gd88-04-24.sbd.hinko.31976.sbeok.flac16 gd88-04-30.sbd.lemon2.4664.sbeok.shnf gd88-05-01.sbd.jerugim.2206.sbefail.shnf 1. radtek

I received this vine yday. I searched for the thread and either I just can't find it or it is gone. And the metatopic appears to be gone as well. So I am posting here. I think the best thing is for ONE PERSON to post here that they want this vine next (let's not do a sign up list, let's just allow the first person to say something to get it) and to PM me with their info and I will send it to them. Then when they receive the vine they can do the same if the thread/metatopic are still missing. Thanks!

a big thank you to mary for all of her hardwork here at dead.net. Not only in the vineyard but helping out a lot of ppl with customer service issues as well. I think it's safe to say that this site wouldn't be the same without her.

You used to be able to sort the topics. You could sort by vineyard threads only for example and I don't see that option anymore.

I click Recent Posts, get a list of topics, and at the top of the page have the option of restricting the posts to The Vineyard. How does this fail to achieve what you're talking about?

If you hit 'Recent Posts' under 'My Account' on the far left it does bring up that sorting box on the top of the screen. I always hit 'All Recent Posts' right above the 'Chat Room'. Weird ... anyways thanks for the tip!!!!!

that All Recent Posts thing is weird, it's the same whether you're logged on or not, hence pretty useless for this purpose. But if you stick with your own Recent Posts you should be good to go.

I just received the July 1990 vine in the mail from noonie(I think) and I can't find the thread. Can someone bump it or post the link? The search feature here is far less useful than days gone by. Just sayin, and still Grateful. Peace All

It's very difficult to find stuff. The search thing rarely worked well but you could always count on the sorting feature, now that can't even find all the threads... Where have all the good times gone?? :(
