PERRO Tapes Companion Vine

This vine came about through a series of individual trades in the mail. I have been collecting these for a while. I wanted to make sure there were no more out there before I vined it. Im not sure why these tracks got left off of the original Perro Tapes that circulates. In an interveiw Steven Barncard mentions more tapes that have never been mixed. These are very early versions of some well known songs. Most of them are in mono. Most of them do not have all the lyrics, there is a lot of humming and dodah-ing. Crosby and Garcia's jamming is extraordinary!

This came on six CDs in FLAC and audio CD formats. Had trouble reading some of the audio CDs but all FLAC discs scanned OK. For economy I decided to burn all the FLAC files to one DVD instead of multiple CDs. This meant I had some extra room to fill, so I added some related stuff, including CSN at Woodstock and the "David and the Dorks" shows from December 1970 (thanks to Lopezz for these by the way!). I am keeping the 3 audio CDs with the vine in case anyone wants these. This will go out to Island Girl this week. Cheers all!

On the music end ... I've just got to say that Cowboy Jam is beyond description. Slip on the headphones and let it wash over you. Jerry and Neil coming at you from opposite sides, first trading tasty licks then, with increasing intensity, weaving them together. While all the time The Croz is driving it all right down the middle, with Phil booming on top!!! Unbelievable magic! An absolute must hear!
