keep splashin' that paint on the canvas! songs are but poems with music backin up the words!
martin mull to tom waits on fernwood tonite ... so when you sit down to write a song ,what do you write first, the lyrics or the words :)

thanks Gigi and Marye, I'm trying to improve my song-writing, I hope the poet's don't mind. Still trying to paint my masterpiece.

green glass

they wait in the dark den
on the pin striped couch
with the glowing glass lanterns above
solemnly picking at their food
on the green glass dishes
while the woman in the broken armchair
in the corner
with the black bow
in her graying hair
sits in sorrow sadness
waiting for nowhere
