Grateful Dead
greetings group. i was on the jersey shore for awhile, but i'm back in texas. i really don't know anything more about my dear friend carol. since i've been back i've learned that you have to have a proper i.d. and be on a list to see carol. his side has completely cut everyone off. her brothers and sisters have been completely shut out. i'm just a close friend, so i am in the dark people. why they have done this is beyond anything i can think of - especially to her side. your positive feelings are a blessing - keep them coming. take care - chris
SirX1970. May your friend Carol's health improve and may her family and you stay strong in this trying time. Peace. Hal.
Do I contradict myself?
Very well then I contradict myself,
(I am large, I contain multitudes.)

Deepest condolences to our own tn2nadoes on the passing of her beloved dog Ringo.
Hoping Carol improves and is restored to her loved ones.

Why is her husband "cutting off her side"? Is ridiculous to cut of communication with those who care about her. Hang in there, and and keep up the positive outlook. Am hoping real hard that the mri shows improvement. Keep writin' as you know more!
greetings group/gang/good people - so many of you have been so nice. there is only limited info i can find out about carol - this is due to her husband cutting off her side. it's sick, but legally he has every right. mri reports came back monday. we know now she's blind, but can hear. we don't know if she can understand though. they are going to do an mri in two weeks to see if she improves. if there is no change for the better, well, you know what is going to happen - plugs are going to be removed. i'm not ready for this. my positive outlook is still the same, and i know your outlook isn't going to change. believe in the miracle! believe in carol!!! please - she is a wonderful woman of 41. trust me - she would be all of your friends!
Josh is in Tampa, or somewhere around there.
Thanks alot Marye!!!
I think this is a fine place to post. I hope Josh thinks better of this and comes home safe and sound.
I'd say In Search Of is a good place to post this also.
The nephew that I was talking about in the post about journies has disappeared. He overdosed last week, then his mother released him from the hospital 2 days later as she "could not stand to see him like that" (she is nuts) instead of sending him to rehab as was originally intended. He disappeared with absolutely nothing but the clothes on his back. If anybody in Florida (will post the city as soon as I know it, by tomorrow hopefully) runs into a lost young man called Josh Shepard, please let me know. He is normally a charming boy, and is tall, thin blond, and 18 years old. I know is a long shot, but you never know. His father is in Belgium, and his other Aunt and I here in Germany are worried sick about him. Perhaps this is the wrong thread? Perhaps I should put this in the looking for, or even the Wharf Rats section???

it makes me cry how wonderful everyone's support has been. i found out this weekend she has been moved to another facility. my friend has looked at her eyes. carol is there, but she seems trapped within her body. she cannot speak or do any form of communication. i am crying now. everyone has been so wonderful with their support. thank you all!. take care - chris
