I got to see them about two weeks ago. and let me tell these guys no what they are doing. I got to meet them, there all about the music no hype they travel the country in a old Rv,with duct tape holding the top on and I just think that's the coolest thing I ever seen.I hoping to see alot more shows I just wish I was 22 agian sometimes,I'd probably be on there tail lights from city to city. But take my word for it if you get a chance to see them TAKE IT''''''''''
I like Hookah - we played "Wooden Ships" together in Jamaica last year, and I expect we'll have some fun together at Hookahville over Labor Day weekend.
But this topic is about Railroad Earth! They'll be at A Bear's Picnic in Milton PA this weekend, along with NRPS, Donna Jean and the Tricksters, Boris Garcia, myself, and many more.
RRE headlines friday Sept. 21st in Ozark, AR, at the Mulberry Mtn. Harvest Music Festival. Keller Wms. is the big dog there on saturday night. Lots of other great bands. Then, on monday, Sept. 24th, RRE plays at the Cain's Ballroom in Tulsa with Hot Buttered Rum opening. Great chance to catch em live if you live anywhere close.
I've seen RRE four times over the last two years. They're easily the best band I've seen since Jerry's death. I took my friend Scott, who turned me on to the Dead, to see them. He's probably harder to please than me, and he was totally blown away. If you get the chance to check them out don't miss the opportunity!!
I jumped on this train late. I discovered them at Wakarusa last year and have been a huge fan ever since. I heard them quite on accident. My wife and I headed to the Revival Tent to get some shade, laid out a blanket and relaxed. I'm not sure who was playing at that time, but I ended up dozing into a deep sleep while my wife read. When I woke up, Railroad Earth were in the middle of Smilin' Like a Buddha, I think, and I just laid there and soaked it in. After a few more minutes, I finally got up to check them out. I enjoyed their set so much.
