SK is a faaaaaaantastic guitarist! I can only imagine that his energy and ability will bring a great new dimension to the Dog July shows. In all honesty, he's one of the better improve. guitar players out there doin' it right now. If you have a chance I highly recommend checking him out whenever you might get the chance.

(((((((Mark))))))))) ~ Hope everything works out for you brother. Take good and healthy care!

Speedway Meadows: I began the day getting dropped of at 10 am. I made my way to the stage. During the day I listened to music including, Ziggy Marley and Sammy Hagar. I also had a chance to hangout and meet people from around the area. l laerned about hippy hill. I am from Nevada and have traveled as far as the Bahamas to see the Dog play. But nothing could prepare me for the show Ratdog put on this day. This is one of the best shows I have seen so far. We love your music Ratdog and we are praying for the health of Mark.

RatDog In Erie

I had the the chance to catch RatDog in Erie, PA, my home town, a couple of times!! The first time was several years back, and very close to my last Dead show, maybe a couple years after that 06/30/95 show at three rivers. Well anyway I think it was to close, I really didn't enjoy the show all that much, but several years later RatDog came back, I think in 05, The crowd was very small but very energetic as to was the band. I had a great time, the band as well as Bob himself were right on the money!!! Had to buy the cd after the show!!! I was hoping that someday RatDog would find there way back to Erie, PA., as I have grown older and tired of travling, so if anyone out there has any influence, please help me out. Thanks much!!

"Love is a service done."

What a phrase to live by from Steve K. from the announcement above

Do I contradict myself?
Very well then I contradict myself,
(I am large, I contain multitudes.)

Sk replaces Mk

This from RatDog Central:

As many of you already know, RatDog's
sterling lead guitarist, Mark Karan,
is experiencing a health problem. Said Chief Dog Bob Weir, "The docs want
to have a close look at our brother Mark over the next few weeks, and we're
gonna have to go with that. Our old friend Steve Kimock has graciously
offered to cover for him for this tour, and so we're thinking we should go
with this. We'll be in touch with Mark daily, and if his docs cut him
loose, we'll bring him out. The show must go on, I think, in everyone's best
interest. Here's to HealingS"

Steve chipped in. "First, I'd like to
wish Mark a speedy recovery, and secondly, I'd like to thank Bob Weir &
RatDog for this opportunity to serve our music, family, friends and
community during Mark's absence. Love is a service done. Gratefully, SK."

Finally, we checked in with Mark. "I
really appreciate all the love and good vibes I've received since announcing
my need to take a 'healing break.' I'll be very sorry to miss all these
great summer shows this July, but I'll be back ASAP and I'm sure my ol'
TOO-mate Senor Kimock will do his best to add something special to this run.
Keep me in your prayers, and meantimeS"Hey, heyScome right awayScome and
join the party everyday."
Hmm, good thinking. See you down the road, Milwaukee first.
