The archives list the next show after this one as July 21, 1974 at Springfield, MA...did they go on vacation for 21 days? I'm pretty sure I saw them with the infamous "Wall of Sound" at the St. Paul Civic Center (St. Paul, MN) sometime during this stretch, but I could be wrong...memories from that period are getting kind of "hazey" if you know what I mean. But, I do remember the show itself well, as if it were somehow etched into my brain with acid...

There are no setlists for 4/5/71 -> 4/7/71 and 4/8/71 is missing. Also, the archive photos seem to have been greatly reduced. Is this problem across the board?

I just received " Vol 1 No. 4 From Egypt with Love " disc and when I went to download the second disc much to my surprise it was a different CD: "Rocking the Cradle 1978 " starting with Jack Straw and ending with It's All Over Now. So though the disc is labeled correctly( 'Egypt with Love" ) it was somehow mixed up with the wrong recording. Perhaps this is a problem of which you are already aware but I don't wish to pay for another copy which may also be incorrect. I am sure I will like the misrecorded CD but I have to say I am rather disappointed.

The 1968 Stony Brook gig mentioned above occurred on Saturday 4th May 1968 - ads and reviews in the SB Statesman magazine - only support mentioned was The Incredible String Band but Sarjo01 indicated there were other bands on earlier - makes sense if the Dead did indeed come on around 1am as the gig kicked off at 8PM... Well, I've been through all the issues of the Statesman for the period and they have no ads or reviews for this - and they WOULD have had if it had taken place on that date - no, they have listed The Mothers of Invention for Oct 16 in the gym, and the next issue after that date had a photo report on that gig so it took place OK. However, that leaves the ticket stub for which I cannot account... :-(

True that Doc and Son opened. Also, there was a mime who did his thing between sets, accomapnied by Jerry, TC and Mickey just playinig to his groove.I was there, a freshman in college, seen them before in Miami '68, but now primed and ready and chemically prepared.

How could this show be a protest to the Jackson State killings when they didn't occur until the 14th and 15th of May 1970? I would assume this show would be a response to Kent State which happened May 4th, and not the May 14th and 15th murders (unless the Dead has access to precognition or some type of a time machine). hmmm...

In between your listing of Tennessee Jed and China Cat Sunflower, I believe the Dead also played Greatest Story Ever Told. Also Sugar Magnolia ends before the (unlisted) Sunshine Daydream begins, so I'd see the two as separate tracks. I am aware that the Dead often segued from one into the other in other shows, but not here. This latter comment also applies to your listing for Sugar Magnolia on the setlist for the 10 June 1973 concert. My source for this information is a matching pair of AUD and SND recordings of both concerts, which have been doing the rounds of the torrent sites. I was at this show. It was on a Sunday, not Monday. I was in tenth grade - I can assure you my friends and I did not made the trip from West Palm Beach after school. As a double check, Santana was playing the same night somewhere in Miami - we passed on them to catch the Dead.

The band opened with Bob Dylan's "Maggie's Farm" celebrating the resignation of British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher earlier that day. The crowd went nuts when the heard the lyric "I ain't gonna work on Maggie's farm no more."

I attended this (these) shows. And it was such a great introduction to the American Beauty songs! Super long playful renditons of Candyman, Ripple, Truckin, Brokedown Palace, etc! But I do believe there were 2 dates at this venue, 2 days in a row. I went to both. Some details are fuzzy, but the gist of the qualities of the small flat room that they played in is vivid. There was no stage of any kind, just on the flat floor of one of the school's semi-occupied rooms, maybe a caffeteria or admin bldg lobby. I do remember they setup up against a glass paneled wall, and the folks outside could see them right their in the full lenghth window. It was a really minimal setup. But the sets were magic and so immediate and uncommonly INTIMATE! It was a refreshingly loose concert as was the venue/ low admission price and lots of "alternate entries" to help the poor and starving students, et al.. ...GOOD TIMES, TIMES 2

Unfortunately you have the 15th of March shows listed twice .. and then it goes on to the 17th of March. If you go to the 17th of March it says on that page previous one 16th.. but when you go back it says 15th.. and on the general page of shows listed in 1968 it shows March 15th at Carousel listed twice.

Guys, it is way beyond the time for the remaining members of the group to get together for another concert....The Dead. Please do this for your fans who have followed you forever.

Appears out of sequence in the previous show/next show area - should be between Veterans Memorial Coliseum April 23, 1984 and Providence Civic Center April 26, 1984, as it does on the Shows By Years list. As it is, it appears like this: Previous Show « Nevada County Fairgrounds - September 18, 1983 Next Show California Exposition Amphitheater - June 9, 1984 OOPS! For some reason the Throwing Stones between Wharf Rat and Not Fade Away is missing on the set list for the Binghampton 4/12/83 show (http://www.dead.net/show/april-12-1983). I think it was the first time that those two joined together to close a show.

Werewolves was a separate, distinct, second encore. I know. I was there. And it was my birthday. And, according to my ticket stub, it wasn't the Grateful Dead that played, it was the Greatful Dead.

I would recommend running an Optimize Tables on the schema before doing a lot of hand editing, especially given the high volume of spamination that's had to go on. Conversation is always more interesting than recitation, so speak your mind and not someone else's.

Setlist error for http://www.dead.net/show/august-27-1972. One More Saturday Night is not listed as the encore.

Not sure if you are aware but you have Two shows dated March 22 1993 One for Omni which is right and one for Oakland which is from Feb. Thanks for making this all happen because The Road Goes On Forever. Peace:))

The February 21 1970 show in San Antonio actually took place at the HemisFair Arena, where the Spurs later played for many years. (No such place as the San Antonio Civic Center Arena, sorry.) It was a great show: Quicksilver, John Mayall (with Duster Bennett doing a solo mini-set as well), It's A Beautiful Day, and the Dead closing the show with "Turn on Your Lovelight" with the houselights on and a hardcore gaggle of fans on the floor. http://www.dead.net/show/february-21-1970

On the Deer Creek 6-7-91 page after "Need A Miracle" it should say "Standing On The Moon" but it says "Stander On The Mountain" Just trying to keep things consistent with what the tapes say, as well as footage from the day. God Bless

Grateful Dead Hour (no.?) broadcast a show where Garrison Keillor (vocals), Velma Fry (vocals), Pat Donahue, and John Nieman (with acoustic guitar, mandolin, and piano) sang a medley of "Ripple", "Brokedown Palace" and "Attics Of My Life" (from "A Prairie Home Companion" show broadcast on January 10, 1987)I've searched every which way. Does anyone know what Grateful Dead Hour show number played this selection??????

Hopefully the Dead.net folks will update the info for 3-28. As a side note: I've always thought the Weather Report Prelude through Johnny B Goode section of this show (3-28) should be considered for a future Road Trips release. The Dark Star from the show is simply stunning!

This show was in Kansas City, KansasSoldiers and Sailors Memorial Hall 2-5-69 I was there, with several others from my town. An outstanding show. The GD opened for Iron Butterfly that evening, what a very strange night it was.
