The Map doesn't seem to be working

Re the map, you won't appear on it properly unless you type in your full street address; that's a google issue. And, as some have mentioned, one might want to think twice before entering one's street address in a public place on the net. So, for the moment, this is a bit of a quandary without easy answers.

But I have decided that I'm not going to participate in this forum, despite being active on the previous one, and (indeed) being active on all manner of Dead forums since forums began! I have never seen a 'topic approval' system like this, and I'm surprised to now encounter it in the Dead realm, of all places! It missjudges the way that most busy middle aged people interact with a forum. It removes 75% of the sponteneity and all but rules out the possibility of casual contributions - the very kind that make forums funny, friendly, fickle and responsive! Sorry to talk like this. It's not your fault, but... "You cannot post new forum topics" is the end of the road. And besides, my wife will welcome the fact that I'm not going to be spending time on the Dead forum.
