Check into a program, freeware, called WAVcat. It allows you to take WAV files and join them together, thus eliminating that annoying gap. Of course, then you have one long track, but don't we listen to them that way in the end? If we didn't, that gap wouldn't be irritating.
Is no REAL big deal, but have noticed that sometimes when I look at a post in whatever thread, when the post is new, after I go back to the recent post list, the thread I was reading STILL shows the post that I read as new with the number of new posts underlined. Sometimes yes, sometimes no. Explanation make any sense? This happen to anybody else? Also end up posting "before" posts I am answering somewhat often lately, but this one has been mentioned already. AND don't quite understand the picture changing procedure. Have changed once or twice (I get bored fast) and profile showed no change for ages, then a day or two later new photo showed up. Am asking because have been asked in a PM to change my photo yet again-BUT am not sure whether I want to go through the complications or not. NOR take the advice in this PM, but that is another matter altogether-just wanna know more about the procedure though.
I am pretty much over the changes in the tapers section/downloads but one thing i enjoyed was listening to the music and not having those annoying nano second gaps between songs that i found existed when i previously purchased a show from the download section at the store....
So, do the shows from the store in the download section still have a nano second gap or hiccup between songs? if so, is it possible to edit that out? can someone who's technology challenged handle it? Oh just wondering....
As far as I know there hasn't been any answer posted on the subject. I'll see what I can find out.
so, i'm so over the streaming/downloading thing. i've given in to the powers that be, and accept streaming as the new format. plus, there are ways around that issue anyway ...
but, back on track. i don't know if this has been answered in a previous post, but i don't have time to read everything with dial-up at home. but here's the technical issue:
in the august 27 to september 2 taper's section, there's a streaming link for "greatest story ever told and sugaree." when you click it, all you get is "story," no "sugaree." i'm thinking that that was meant to be two separate links, e.g. "greatest story ever told" and "sugaree." (note the placement of the quotes.) can someone check on/fix this? i suppose lemieux is probably having a nervous breakdown of sorts (kidding!), but i really want to hear "sugaree."
It's back online after being down for some site maintenance that was going on. Sorry for the blip there - feel free to search to your heart's content now!
I doesn't seem to work for me either, but then again, I don't work very well myself anymore.

weallen, i'll let someone know. thanks for pointing it out.
I noticed several weeks ago that there seems to be a problem with the search function. For example, after the new site went up I could put in a word, such as Telluride or Tuscaloosa, and would get results returned. Now, nothing is returned, regardless of the search term I use. I'm sure I'm not the only one who uses the search function but I don't see any reports of problems with it. Is it just me, or is the search function indeed broken?
Posted elsewhere, but just in case:
Having trouble with the audio streams? Before pursuing the issue further, please make sure you have the relevant media player, either QuickTime or Windows Media, properly installed on your computer. Not sure? Go here to download the latest player and follow easy installation directions:
