Posts Appear out of order

I think I may have an idea about why this happens. I noticed today that a post I created at 2:50 p.m. local (central) time posted with a time stamp of 11:50 p.m. This made it appear in the list prior to some posts with time stamps around 12:15 p.m. But those 12:15 posts were already in the list when I made my 2:50 p.m. post (the one that appeared with the 11:50 a.m. time stamp.)
Hmmmmmmm...says I. I wonder what is up with that? So I started poking around looking at member profiles to see what time zone the other posters were in. I discovered that, while I had listed my location and zip code in my profile, these other posters had not.

So.......I'm thinking that if you list a zipcode in your profile, the system makes a time adjustment to your posts but if you do not list a zipcode, your posts default to some other time zone adjustment. I believe the posts are listed in order of their time stamps regardless of when they were actually created and posted.

Call out the internet wizards and see if I'm on the right track here.

Peace,
Richard

member map hassles

ho hum

like Uwe in Germany we in France are rejected by the member map. It happily moves the marker to my little village but will not submit it. I seem to be moaning about neglect of us Europeans today...rejected by iTunes, abandoned by Google...can't we swap them both for McDonalds...you can have them back anytime

lol

Upload Photo = crash forced reboot & Cant Upload to Submissions

Trying to upload My Account PHOTO to represent me, and upload browsing (thumbnail) and scrolling down, uploading caused and Overload and caused my computer to crash (never does this anyplace else), this was somewhere? around July 4th?, for a couple of days (this happened maybe 5 times?) The Crashs led to a microsoft "error report" which suggested a Video Driver, which I downloaded, and it did not work, at the time. It seems to be OK now, and I am Grateful. I like to hang around here, because of the anthropological and cultural assocaitions with Dead Culture. NOTE: I saw the posting before me, and I had that same issue, the SUBMIT CONTENT thing says there is nothing to upload to, or cant do it, or whatever. Thanks. : ) ARCHURE www.archure.net (midi music) archure@archure.net aka Chris Holley AA in Music, AS CIM, AAS Electronics, BAS AMT, Hon Soc, Hon Grad, 147 IQ

Bizarre!

Izzie appears to have dealt with it for the moment, but maybe Pat will have some light to shed on the situation next week. Thanks for the heads up!

html link error

I tried to insert an html link into a thread(the "I turn on Channel Six, the President comes on the news..." thread) and discombobulated page 2 of it. It appears if someone posts an html link, it messes up the navigational menu(at least in firefox for me)??
Sorry about that, just wanted to get the Ron Paul link to be clickable.

My bad.
