Email link to the Store

I have spent the last 5 days composing emails to the store via the Web page, and thus far have had no reply at all. So either the web page is not forwarding them correctly or the Store is not replying for to some reason ( its not like I haven't spent loads of ££££ there ).

Either way , I'd be extremely pleased if someone would at least acknowledge my existence :)

Please.

a very Despondent DeadHead

Format input?

Thanks for the quick reply - still can't find it though. I have a "More information about formatting options" link, but when I click on it, no formatting help other than a few ines about page breaks and such.

name game

huh. that's a good question, Dougles, and not one I've seen yet. (extra points for originality: duly noted.) I'll ask about that!

Searching for real names.

Are there any plans to be able to search peoples names instead of just their handle name?

Creating links?

First few times I posted, when I typed in my website info, it automatically created a link. Now it's not doing so. How do I create the link now?
My only problem with the new forum so far!

Your concern has been elevated, Howard, and we appreciate your patience while it's looked into.

So so slow

The site is woefully slow for me ( in the UK). My work involves a lot of surfing, so I'm familiar with things that affect speed, but the new site is near the bottom of the speed table in every way. Any request for a new page leads to a long wait ( often a screen full of black - not enlightened by any Dark Stars even) until the new one loads. And navigating the forusm is even worse. Sorry folks, but things aren't great for me in DeadLand these days.

btw I never had any trouble at all on the old site.

EXCELLENT catch, grayfolded!

(note that for some reason there were about 5 of the same post and I deleted the duplicates)

If you click on the person's name UNDER the avatar, all should work as advertised, but I'll report the problem with avatar-clicking, as indeed this is a bug.

WRT QuickTime: Your mileage may vary, and this only applies to Mac folks, but I found it much easier to use Safari rather than Firefox (which is usually more problem-free) for the Taper Section, because (in the control-click mode) it gives you a choice of downloading the clip, playing it in iTunes, or whatever. I found dealing with QuickTime a complete pain, but Safari put the clips in the download folder right where I wanted 'em. So you might want to try this if QuickTime is being a pain.
