Just glad I caught the inaugural Rothbury last year. Please- don't let it get like Bonnaroo. It still has a chance of staying true to the scene and not getting too big! I'll get off my soap box now: It's the most amazing festival you'll ever attend. No need to pay extra for v.i.p. stuff...camp in the regular camping. Nothing is too far, and if it is, call a golf cart taxi!! You can fit your whole crew, and be at the entrance in 60 seconds from your campsite. Comes in handy toward the end of the weekend if you know what i mean ;0)
Peace,
SW
Question O' the Day:
Q: What do you do when you see bears in Sherwood Forest?
A: Play Dead!!!!
Is this going to be the best music festival of the year or what? If you don't have your tickets already go to: http://rothburyfestival.com/festival/artists.php

I can't wait for the Dead at Rothbury. It's likely going to be the only Dead show I see and it'll be my first Rothbury experience. I'm looking forward to hearing these Dead tour shows.
yeah, Rothbury festival sounds like an experience all it's own, looking at youtubes of last years event.
I bet they were planning for this year and asking "how can we top what we put on last year?" and some smart person suggested having The Dead headline, with Bob Dylan and Willie.
What a brilliant way to improve on last years fest!
GREAT NEWS! ROTHBURY has extended the deadline for ROTHBURY'S LayAway Ticket Program ....so there's still some time to get on board with ROTHBURY and THE DEAD'S, only summer performance ~ and SMILE, SMILE, SMILE!!!!

Soooo, read in the paper that since Nelsons Ledges has a new sherrif that he thinks hes gonna be somebody by arresting hippys at the ledges. BOOOO!!!! Guess a bunch of people were arrested for pipes, mushrooms and rolls a week or two ago.......This discurouges me man, Nelsons Ledges is a half an hour from my house, practically my backyard. Its bad enuff that DSO is playing (like they have for the past 9 years) over the 4th of July weekend (the same weekend as Rothbury). Man, this will be my 10th year at the ledges and I don't know whatr to do? Rothbury or The Ledges???
Peace-
Moye
only Dead summer performance...and it's at Rothbury, classic. All of you who haven't gone to the first year and are going this year, be prepared to meet the friendliest people you know, and lose your mind in Sherwood Forest, you won't regret it. Again, let's hope it doesn't fill with too many people and turn into a Roo' this place is SACRED!
