Looking for David we met at a house before a MSG show in 1988. Used to send me pictures tree planting. Sound familiar? Say hi!

The mother of all tour busses

What has happened to OH-NO? Or atleast that's how I refer to the once uber-slammin' split screen VW Bus that was on tour for years. It graced the DVD cover of the 1995 movie"Tie- Died".
I last saw it (the Bus) 10 yrs ago on display in Cincinnati at the Further Festival.

The Tonight Show - Johnny Carson - Jerry & Bobby - Touch of Grey

I am looking for any help in finding this interview. When Touch of Grey hit the Top 10 (the only Dead material to crack that list as far as I know), Jerry and Bobby appeared on the Tonight Show (Carson era). It was a fun interview, and I'm hoping it's somewhere for me to view again!
Thanks in advance,
RB

RB,

I don't remember them being on Carson, but there are clips from their performance on Letterman from September of '87 on Youtube.

They do a great "Masterpiece" and there's about an 8 minute interview as well.
Good stuff.
Hope you can find the Carson, too.

a certain t-shirt

Saw a guy selling shirts at a TOO show in (I Think) 2003.

This particular shirt featured Calvin and Hobbes.
It had Calvin laying on the couch of "Psychiatrist" Hobbes with a caption of
"The bus came by, I got on.......that's when it all began."
I didn't have the cash to purchase that night and have been looking for one ever since.

Anybody know where one of these can be had?

Anyone remember the year they played Dark Star at the Greek

avatar

I know it was in the 80's, I got a call from a friend of mine who worked for the Dead, he said whatever you do don't miss saturday's show at the Greek, so I said why, are they going to play Dark Star and he said how did you know, I didn't, but it really blew his mind...
The Dead played a regular show ( I'm thinking it was 85 ) then came out and Phil said " One Night Only " They also showed shots from the Mars observer on big screens during Dark Star. I checked all the Greek shows ( I'm pretty sure it was the last night of the runs ) on the Dead site and still no luck

Thanks
Paul
