We've got your radio threads, your threads about what's on your various devices, your thread about what you're listening to right now. Now it's time for the thread about the song (loved or hated) that has taken up residence in your brain and hidden the off button.

The Yeah Yeah Yeah Song

A good friend of mine is turning 30 tomorrow, and she has eschewed the want of material gifts, and so I have made a 30-song mix to celebrate the beginning of her 30s. The first song of the mix is the opening tune to the Flaming Lips's 'At War with the Mystics'--"The Yeah Yeah Yeah Song"--and I haven't been able to get the song out of my head since.

today, it's Robert Hunter.

Specifically "Touch of Darkness," which happens to be the first song I heard him sing live, so I've got visuals to go with it.

This is all because a long-lost pal from the olden days was looking for it, which forced me to go see if I had it. But the net result of the search is that Hunter is singing in my brain. I could do worse!
