thank you for making another copy and sending it on, was in good shape here and sent it wrapped the way we do most vines - in bubble wrap envelope

glad that this one is continuing

Wow

What with the tempest I am in with the 77 project, I thought I would go through some of the vines I am signed up for and delete myself. And I already have both of the Dead shows here. But c'mon, Sonny Rollins (best jazz album cover ever, Way Out West I believe it is called, Sonny on a horse), the original Wailers, the Band, and holy crap John McLaughlin joining Santana onstage to perform a set of Coltrane. CRAZY! I'm not deleting myself from this vine!

If you like jazz but aren't into the fusion thing, or aren't sure whether you like jazz, check out Miles Davis's In a Silent Way. McLaughlin is featured on it. It was Miles first truly electric album (Filles de Killimanjara has an electric guitar on a couple tracks). It absolutely blew me away the first time I heard it a few years ago. I have wondered what it would be like to go back to 1973, put on a pair of headphones and put on the Dark Side of the Moon LP. Or 1969 and Abbey Road. It's that GOOD.

relaunched

I posted the reseeded vine to dpwstldeadfan today (5 June). Sorry that it took so long; I had to make an extra journey to town to buy some more DVDs. The disc is packed in bubble wrap in a titanium box packed in airbags, cast in a concrete block and welded into a shipping container. That should keep it safe, but the postage was a little on the steep side.

reseed

Just got a message from dpwstldeadfan that the DVD got cracked en route from Hal to him. So I am burning a new one for him and will send it Monday. It will mean a delay of a week to ten days on the vine.
