Thoughts on "Jerry Week" - August 1-9
Last year the legendary Patti Smith wrote a real stunner of an essay in which, among other things, she dubbed the period from August 1 to August 9 "Jerry Week."

I don't always listen to the Dead like I used to. There are times when I feel like I need to listen to the Dead. That week is one of those times. I listened to the Dead every day, just to hear Jerry's voice. Happy Jerry week to everyone, and rest in piece Jerry Garcia.
I live to be dead and I am dead to live. Life is all we have and music is all we can ride. Enjoy every minute of it.
