External Hard Drive

I bought a 500gb external hard drive from NewEgg.com some time ago, and it is great for storing ALL of my music, photos, videos, tax documents - basically anything worth saving. I thought it was a steal for $120.00. Bob is right, all my GD shows + about 300 CDs and this thing is still half empty...err..half full, depending on your outlook. Plus, I have found that NewEgg is very interested in having happy customers.

His job is to shed light, not to master...

Traders Little Helper Shn/Flac files

I normally copy all the files to a folder on my hard disc normally My Music, or a folder in My Music, which should take 30 seconds or so.

You are then ready to send the disc on and decode the files as you want.

I back all my Shn/Flac files to a dvd for archiving and then decode or listen from the DVD's. I am still only able to listen to Flacs on Foobar as i STILL haven't downloaded the SHN plugin.

Another way and nowadays possible cheaper option is to back up to external hard drive, it should take a bit of time to fill 500gb etc

Also in TLH you need to specify where you want the files to go once decoded as by default it sends them to the place they came from and you can't do this with a DVD

I hop some of this makes sense

Thanks for the new ideas

Having been on the first rounds of vines it was easy to keep up but now that there are over 80 pages it can get frustrating wading through. There may or may not be a better solution but I am glad to hear there are ideas floating around. Thanks to you all for getting this thread jammin!

Eric
