A Big Thank You

To yamadog for those very clear instructions.
You made my weekend. Now I will sign up for more vines.

Count me in on those ideas,

and I believe that these modificatioins would be a great way to organize and provide that specific information that the viner is seeking out. Such as Hal about finding some technical expertise (good job yamadog, and richard has been helpful as well) or as operator stated about discussing the shows in depth, along with those other topics, but then signing up for the vine being in it's own spot. Fantastic, if marye and the site can accomodate.
That way this whole variety of interests would be ordered and more accessible for us all, veteran viners and new ones alike. That would be an 'evolution' of the vine's effectiveness and accessability.
But hey, this vine!! I must thank you all for the wonderful music you have recommended and made available to me and I truly appreciate the chance to share with you what the Dead shared with us all. This has really charged my batteries. Vine on!

To recant what I think Hal

To recant what I think Hal said, which sounds like a good way to take this board, maybe we could have a general forum area where we can all talk, discussing individual shows' merits, and satellite folders that just contain the signups??

Also, I'd like to reiterate what the previous posters have said, thanks EVERYONE!! This site is really terrific. I've loved all the music I've received, and I'm happy to know there are some other freaks out there that love it as much as I do.

the awesome vine thing - some comments

Thank you everyone especially those that seed the vine, I am very grateful.

I find myself sharing some concerns after reading the comment by dstache.

1. I just received a DVD file today in the mail in shn/flac format , I have downloaded TradersLittleHelper and am not sure what to do next or how to record or save the DVD and the steps needed. Would someone here be willing to go through those steps for us or point us to a site that gives those steps? I would like to learn to do this but don't want to spend much of my weekend on what should be a quick task. Thank you in advance for any info in this regard. I know I am not the only one that would benefit.

2. Shows are now being sent out on DVDs on the shn/flac format such as the one I got. I really don't think that everyone that is signing up for vines is up for this. Myself I am willing to give it a try. Would there be a way at the beginning of the vines to signify if they are going to be DVD or CD so people would know whether to sign up or not? I just don't believe that everyone that may be interested in having a show has the time, interest, inclination or perhaps most importantly the technology to record from the DVD format.

3. If we do vines as individual topics, it would be also useful to have a topic where we just post general information, discussion or questions about the vines.

Thanks, have a great weekend, vine on.
