checking in from my hotel room. anyone else coming this way? (to the festival, not to my hotel room.)
This was Vasser Clements personal playground. If you are a lover of music bluegrass folk etc this is your place. Springfest is wonderful with the live oak trees and hammocks. The camping area has jamming all night long and many of the performers make their way out their to jam at night. I would reccomend at lazy trip down the river by boat as a good way to start the festival
This festival is a DO NOT MISS! I have been all three years and it gets better every time. The Allman Brothers, Gov't Mule, Derek Trucks Band & Oteil & the Peacemakers always play. Some others from past years are Dark Star Orchestra, Tea Leaf Green, Susan Tedeschi, John Popper Blues Project, The Wailers, Devon Allman & Honeytribe, Jack Pearson Band, OAR, Robert Randolph, Nickel Creek, Keller Williams, Rose Hill Drive and the Radiators. It is usually around Easter weekend. Keep posted on their website at waneefestival.com.
those folks all seem to work hard and have a great time at it! If you find Tamara B, you can be assured of being well taken care of the whole time.
just starting to get happy thinking about going to Mag next month.
THis will be my first Mag Fest & I will be a Magbud, as well!

LOVE Waneefest! I have not missed one yet. This year was even better. And there was alot of jammin' happening in the campsites. Wanneefest always has the best "chocolates" going around. Mine were right on time for the first Allman Bros. show!! A truly awesome venue.
