They're a band beyond description, Like Jehovah's favorite choir
People joining hand in hand While the music played the band, Lord
They're setting us on fire.
Keep on dancin' thru the daylight, Greet the mornin' air with song
No ones's noticed, but the band's all pack and gone. Was it ever there at all?
But they keep on dancin' C'mon children
We are a family of deadheads here so stay and join in :)
There are 3 joys of life to me, one of them being the Grateful Dead.
This site is interesting but if the remaining members never play together again as the Dead, what does this site do.
I can go on a number of coverband sites and get the same info, but the difference is, there are tours and shows with those bands.
Every member has his own site and I think most people come to this site in hope that these guys will get together again as the Dead. If not, then so what.
If there is a "Dead Family", (which i have experienced before), then let's get everybody together for some shows.
If not I see the Dead as Dead.
This site is interesting and possibly fun.
Robert Hunter, Phil Lesh, Bob Weir, and the rest are not a "Dead Family" anymore, so i see through this illusion and am pretty dissapointed.
Any body see what im saying.

I'm new here, but it feels pretty hospitable. Something's been driving me nuts tonight and I was hoping someone could help me out. It'll probably come to me in the middle of the night but I have been trying to figure out the tease that is on the last 30 seconds of the "Ripple" on Ladies and Gentleman, The Grateful Dead (Fillmore East, April 1971). If anyone can tell me what the tune is that I can't quite get my ears around, I'd appreciate it. It's just after "Ripple" before they transition into "Me & Bobby McGee".
Thanks,

...bookended by two notions:
The world SHOULD be a particular way or in a particular state of being;
The subjective "I" is (am) the victim of, an action(s) or lack of action(s), or generally from the notion listed above.
Like my father-in-law says, "The world isn't fair, nor do we make it so by pointing that fact out". Scott Peck's opening line of his book, "The Road Less Traveled" tells us that, "Life is difficult but when we accept that fact, it becomes a bit easier" (paraphrased).
Wake up and find that you are the eyes of the world;
Don't cry now;
Nobody's finished, we ain't even begun!
"All energy flows according to the whims of the Great Magnet. What a fool I was to defy him."
