Left with a bad taste in my mouth....

I gotta say, when I read the Mr. Obama post, I did not smile like I usally do when reading what my fellow heads have to say. I'll also add, I did NOT follow your link, and how many of us here would. I understand you want your man to get the vote, but come on, is this really the place?

Sorry- I just felt like I had to add my two cents(sense)

PEACE

You might head over to the Your Own Storefront topic here for those posters.

GRTUD, it's a gray area, but I don't think Mr. Obama Fan meant to say he was channeling Jerry's political endorsement. But jg71, keep in mind that this could be a bit of a minefield for you...

I was looking for a place to sell some of my poster collection and stumbled onto this site. Wow!
My first show was Pauly Pavilion 1978
My last show was in 2002.

The posters I have for sale are the Peter Max Dead Spring Tour 1988
and Amacker Bullwinkle: Ratdog at the Filmore (the puppet poster)

Both in VG condition.

drop me an email if interested.

hmmmm

jerry_garcia71, welcome to the site! GRTUD, I recall some backchannel discussion back in May about limiting people's choices of usernames by not allowing the names of the band members and such. As it stands, folks are free to choose pretty much whatever they want, as long as it isn't grossly offensive or something.

having said that, Sean Paul, have you seen the political discussions here on the site? You can find it here:

Sorry Mods

I'm no mod and regret any implications from my previous post. Sorry.

That's Your First Post???

Excuse me jerry_garcia71 but don't you think this post is a bit like holding a lit fire cracker with your ass cheeks? Oh, and think about changing your user name if you're here to promote some political agenda - OF ANY KIND. If I were a mod here, you'd be gone faster than a fake acid dealer.

Irrational Thought

...bookended by two notions:
The world SHOULD be a particular way or in a particular state of being;
The subjective "I" is (am) the victim of, an action(s) or lack of action(s), or generally from the notion listed above.

Like my father-in-law says, "The world isn't fair, nor do we make it so by pointing that fact out". Scott Peck's opening line of his book, "The Road Less Traveled" tells us that, "Life is difficult but when we accept that fact, it becomes a bit easier" (paraphrased).

Wake up and find that you are the eyes of the world;
Don't cry now;
Nobody's finished, we ain't even begun!

"All energy flows according to the whims of the Great Magnet. What a fool I was to defy him."

The Music Never Stopped...

They're a band beyond description, Like Jehovah's favorite choir
People joining hand in hand While the music played the band, Lord
They're setting us on fire.
Keep on dancin' thru the daylight, Greet the mornin' air with song
No ones's noticed, but the band's all pack and gone. Was it ever there at all?
But they keep on dancin' C'mon children
We are a family of deadheads here so stay and join in :)

why

There are 3 joys of life to me, one of them being the Grateful Dead.
This site is interesting but if the remaining members never play together again as the Dead, what does this site do.
I can go on a number of coverband sites and get the same info, but the difference is, there are tours and shows with those bands.
Every member has his own site and I think most people come to this site in hope that these guys will get together again as the Dead. If not, then so what.
If there is a "Dead Family", (which i have experienced before), then let's get everybody together for some shows.
If not I see the Dead as Dead.
This site is interesting and possibly fun.
Robert Hunter, Phil Lesh, Bob Weir, and the rest are not a "Dead Family" anymore, so i see through this illusion and am pretty dissapointed.
Any body see what im saying.
