"From day to day, just lettin' it ride,
You get so far away from how it feels inside,
You can't let go, 'cause you're afraid to fall,
But the day may come when you can't feel at all."

beatles christmas giveaways

Every Christmas the Beatles gave away to UK fanclub members a single sided flexi disc 45 of jokes, messages and stupid songs . These were what I found in the attic and kept us warm and fed for a winter.

I just found details of these on

http://www.norwegianwood.org/beatles/disko/html/xmas2.html

and as a Christmas present to one and all the site has downloadable MP3s of all of them!

Happy Christmas or whatever you are celebrating to one and all!

Phil Spector Christmas Album A seasonal story
In late 1982 I moved to a half derelict cottage in Norfolk (England). Just before Christmas I found a box in the attic. In it were the following:

-The entire collection of Beatles fan club free floppy giveaway Christmas 45s
-An original pressing of the Phil Spector Christmas Album
A few other ancient vinyl relics

Wow cosmicbadger! What a cool find in the attic. That must have been really cool stumbling upon that stash. Do you remember what song was on the Beatles 45? I believe they have a collection of Chrismas songs they released over the years?...I have heard one or two from mid 60's not sure though...

Have just burnt a copy of 'All The News That's Fit To Sing' for a friend this evening. I Had To Much To Dream last night though. Stay cool son.
