They had just signed with Columbia and were really stoked. The recordings were taken from a run and were more open to stretching out than what you'd hear on the first (studio) record. The lineup is a tad different, too. There are a handful of tunes from the first record and a number of "previously unissued" ones including a thirty minute jam on a thing called "Freeway". It sounds great even though the remastering is pre-24-bit (1997).
