Boston Music Hall 4/08/71

Empire Pool Wembley 4/08/72 The show all-round is indescribable. Like 4/07/72, the quintessential part of 4/08/72 can be found on "Steppin' Out". Go! to disc 4. If you've not heard this you will wind up agreeing with many that this is THE BEST Dark Star. There are, of course, no absolutes, but ... there was a lot of just exactly perfect happening from the get go, including the sound. The sound is joy - that is the only way I know to describe it. Hopefully, the entire tour will be given the Winterland '73 treatment. Hasta luego.

Is 4/8/72 as grate as 8/4/72?
That might depend on if you are an American or European.

Winterland '73, of course...

Disc 5, at the moment. I am loving *all* of this box so far, but I can tell that this disc in particular is going to see some seriously heavy rotation. Gorgeous WRS, and the Playin' -> UJB -> Dew -> UJB -> Playin' is phenomenal.
