Oh, Mama, can this really be the end ?
To be stuck inside of Mobile
With the Memphis blues again.
Now the rainman gave me two cures
Then he said, Jump right in
The one was Texas medicine
The other was just railroad gin
And like a fool I mixed them
And it strangled up my mind
And now, people just get uglier
And I have no sense of time
Oh, Mama, can this really be the end
To be stuck inside of Mobile
With the Memphis blues again.
~ Dylan

WNCR was playing this show, live, while I was cruising Euclid Ave. in a hearse. I was out
picking up a stiff, when I worked in a funeral home in Shaker. After hearing this sequence...
Cryptical -> Drums-> The Other One-> Me & My Uncle-> The Other One-> Cryptical > Deal
I knew I had to go see this band. Friends of mine went to Columbus for the Halloween show.
Join WDVX and your hosts Mary Lou Cameron or Wayne Bledsoe every Saturday night starting at Midnight.
Dedicated to playing good music regardless of the genre and providing a good time regardless of the circumstances, the "All Over the Road" program was founded by Mike Flannagan, a writer for the Knoxville News Sentinel, in the early years of WDVX. The program originally aired on Sunday nights and was moved to the midnight to 4 a.m. slot on Sunday mornings in the late 1990s. When Mike died (as the result of longterm heart problems) in June, 2003, his friends Mary Lou Cameron and Wayne Bledsoe were invited to carry on the program. Wayne had been an occasional guest on the show and Mary Lou had gotten her start in radio at Mike's invitation. Mike and the program were immortalized in the title cut of the album "All Over the Road" by California's Mars Arizona.
In recent years, "All Over the Road," has also become a showcase for live-in-the-studio performances. The format is intentionally loose and artists often enjoy the show so much that they stay for the entire four hours

I spend about 4 months in Knoxeville, Tennessee - back in 2004, and discovered this great station - then found it on the web when I returned home. Excellent - especially late at night.
