Actually, right this moment I'm listening to the 11-14-73 in the Tapers' Section.
Last night, I re-started the process of converting my tapes to digital files. Got through some choice shows from 1970 and 1973 (the tour with the 2-man horn section).
Since I'm doing this, I no longer have a need for the actual cassette tapes, but I don't want to throw them away - bad for the environment and a waste of years of meticulously saved music. So ... anyone want them?
I'm going to be going through probably 20 shows (30-40 tapes ) a week. And I have well over 1000 hours of music - not just GD, but Allmans, Springsteen, jazz, bluegrass, SCI, etc. I know cassettes are old school, but many are in great condition and I would be glad to give them to someone - sort of like the old "blanks and postage" deals except all you have to send is the postage and SASEs.
I know, I know - all the music is available in digital formats if you look in the right places. But I thought I'd throw this offer out there before I have to get rid of them. If you're interested, email me at chip@chipwithrow.com.
