At The Roxy 2/19/93
Recieved this 8 disc box today. Just finished the Bonus disc and it was pretty good. This box is not as expensive as Winterland '73 but has one less disc no essay/booklet, pictures or insight, just music. Tough to say if either is a better deal/value I am glad with both products.
Ratdog, Greensboro 11/16/08. The first time I've heard it live in person...blew me away.
May 13,16,17,18 These shows are amazing!
Phil has the 5-13 soundboard free on his website.
Weird stuff Hal. I was playing TODAY from the Airplane box set LOVES YOU as I read your last post.
The Band ~ Chest Fever
I know she's a tracker, any scarlet would back her
They say she's a chooser, but I just can't refuse her
She was just there, but then she can't be here no more
And as my mind unweaves, I feel the freeze down in my knees
But just before she leaves, she receives
She's been down in the dunes and she's dealt with the goons
Now she drinks from the bitter cup, I'm trying to get her to give it up
She was just here, I fear she can't be here no more
And as my mind unweaves, I feel the freeze down in my knees
But just before she leaves, she receives
It's long, long when she's gone, I get weary holding on
Now I'm coldly fading fast, I don't think I'm gonna last
Very much longer
"She's stoned" said the Swede, and the moon calf agreed
I'm like a viper in shock with my eyes in the clock
She was just there somewhere and here I am again
And as my mind unweaves, I feel the freeze down in my knees
But just before she leaves, she receives

"I know she's a tracker, any scarlet would back her"..... just the first line and I am totally flashed back...... powerful!
Hi! I'm brand new here, so any guidance is welcome. Hope you're all doing well and maybe can give me some pointers. I think I'm doing this right by posting here.Any suggestions or comments are appreciated. It's gonna take some time for me to get the hang of this place,so please bear with me. Anyway I'm listening to a smokin' first set from the Centrum '87 right now. My all-time favorite "It's All Over Now",seems to go on and on and Jerry IS on for this show with clean pickin' and lots of energy. The drumming on the recording I have is powerful and pounding. Not sure how you guys play here so I'll leave it at that for now. Thanks.
And it is also strange to get on the web and see my name jump out.
Now listening to Paul Kantner 42 years after the Jefferson Airplane took off.
Jefferson Starship presents Jefferson's Tree of Liberty. Paul and friends (including David Freiberg and many others of the SF crowd) channel the sprit of the Weavers in inspiring folk renditions of some classic protest songs. Thanks Paul; 42 years and still at it. Keep ringing those Chimes of Freedom. I'm loving it, inspiring stuff indeed.
