Check this one out from the same tour ('77). You're in that vein that's close to the heart; The Mosque, 5.25.77 (Star Wars opening day)........ listening to the Scarlet>Fire......... uhhhhhhhhh, Jerry.
......And there were days I know when all we ever wanted was to learn and love and grow.
I'm embarrassed to say I'm just listening to this show! I've wanted to hear it ever since I read an article about it in "Dupree's Diamond News" in the late 80's or early 90's. This show is absolutely awesome!!! Every song is unique. Particularly liked the Playin' in the Band and Birdsong. The Sing Me Back Home definitely gets my vote for best version ever! Jerry is on and Donna's vocals make this version a standout. The whole "best show ever" thing is very subjective, and listening to a tape is never the same as being there, but I'd have to say this one gets my vote. The '77 Cornell show is outstanding but there's something extra special about this one!
