With Coltrane you've committed an unprecedented breach of conventional listening! I LOVE it....BUT, I really came to attention with Jah Woosh (Neville Beckford - WOOT!) who's always reminded me of my favorite prog-reggae artist Eek-A-Mouse, especially that killer album "Assassinator"....oh my, it's been awhile since I've listened 'in that direction'; thanks for the signpost! peace/k

Just caught Umphrey's McGee set at Bonnaroo. I can't be the only fan here! also checked out Andrew Bird and the Hands of Glory. I've been a fan of his for a long time, but never seen him "live." Just an incredible musician. Another edit: Nikhil Banerjee playing sitar.

English Oceans This is becoming my favorite Truckers album, love the more balanced split between Hood songs and Cooley songs, including Cooley singing a Hood song. Plus there's this Space kind of thing to close out the album, very unexpected! Haven't posted here in a very long time, nice to see Mr Lard is still carrying the torch!

Excited about the impending PF album, I'm digging into my stash and playing some live favorites: "Delicate Sound of Thunder" and "Pulse."

Today would have been dad's 86th - Coltrane's "Standard Coltrane", "Stardust" and "Bahia" 7/11/58. Fave tune of the nine from this session - "Something I Dreamed Last Night".Roland Kirk "Kirk's Works" Jack McDuff on B3.r 7/11/61 John Patton "Blue John" Similar vein as RRK. 7/11/63 Garcia Saunders discs 3 & 4 from Keystone mini-box. "Like a road" 7/11/73 Marshall Tucker "Where We All Belong" live stuff 7/11/74 Lucinda Williams "Car Wheels" companion live disc 7/11/98 jumped the gun on 7/11/69 - it's been a '69 Summer. Please, Dave, make the 11th bonus disc worthy!
