9-2-80 Rochester, NY. A great but under rated show. Not widely recorded unfortunately. Have only heard fair audience recordings but still worth the listen! Smoking show from the get go. Highlights include: Sugaree ( The hottest version I have ever heard) and Chinacat> Rider to close the first set. The whole second set! Jerry tears the roof of the place with killer lead in Morning Dew. Give it a listen if you haven't heard it or haven't listened to it in a while. Enjoy the ride!

I'm a mailman, and one of my customers, whom I just found out is a real DH, gave me a disc of a show from L.A. in 1966--Feb. 25th and March 25th I believe. Both show are a real gas! They were so young and full of energy then.
I was a kid at the time and lived a block away from Speedway Meadows and the Polo Fields etc. and I saw the Dead a ton of times in the park. What a time it was. The music was so important then. I sure miss Pigpen too. What energy.

As I am on the computer it is currently Deadnet radio, should I decide to change I will head over to radioiodead.com for a visit with Deadhead Rob.
Now should I shut off the computer there is not telling, I like to just reach into the 2,000 hours or so of live Dead and pull something at random. Nothing like sitting back and trying to guess what is going to be played next.
