Burning Man

for me there's burning man and then there's everything else.

the gathering of the vibes is one of my favorite music festivals. i've been going since the first year. the vibes staff has always supported our psychedelic art gallery and leda and aly, the vendor coordinators, are the best allies to have in any festival situation.

like many, i'm psyched to see them return to bridgeport and look forward to seeing my vibe tribe out there.

other shows? oh, i do a bunch of them. some are great, some are not. i've heard great things about gratefulfest but never been.

horning's hideout for cheese's final run there? ought to be as epic as cheese shows get. i may make it, hard to say just yet...

the burn is the only annual event that i do everything i can to never miss. everything else seems to pale by comparison.

well theres an American

well theres an American Roots Music Festival not even 1/4 mile from my house today, tomorrow, and the next day, about 23 bands are supposed to be there along with around 2 - 3 thousand fans...this will be my first festival :D

its funny cuz i been fishing across the river from this guys house for the past year and have noticed him playing some Dead and wanted to go up to his door and ask him if he knew anything about any festivals around the area, now hes just cleared out the woods and had one himself.

Favorite Festivals

US Festivals (Devore,CA) in 1982 and 1983 (9/5/82 my 1st Dead show)

This doesnt fit into a "festival" becasue it was for the Loma Prieta earthquake, but the gathering of artists for "Earthquake Relief" (Cow Palace) - Eddie Money,SMB, and Neil Yong were my favorites.

High Sierra Music festival 1996 and saw SCI,MMW,Hypnotic Clambake,Akoustic Hookah for the 1st time...Loved them!!

1997s Health&Harmony festival (Santa Rosa, CA) Zero (God that was a fun short set!)
also 97 Cazadero VFD benift - Zero (again a great set on the solstice."Sun Sun Sun")

There are honorable mentions of The day(s) on the green 1974,Calfest 1978, Amesty Int. 1986....
