The 3Gs ('aka Grateful Garcia Gathering), is returning back to the Camp NCN Venue in beautiful Black River Falls Wisconsin July 30th though August 2nd 2009 where it all began over 6 years ago! A grateful place where Garcia fans will be gathering! It also marks the celebration of Jerry Garcia's 67th Birthday, plus the 14th Anniversary of Jerry's untimely passing. We have leased the campground venue for July 30th though August 3rd 2009 for our 6th annual music festival. Other great music festivals have hosted at this venue such as Weedstock, Farmapalooza, Sundog Summer Shakedown, the Big Wu Family Reunion, Campout Roots Festival, Effit Fest, just to name a few! The venue features 75-plus acres of brilliant surroundings with tall trees that nicely shades your camp site. Campers are welcome to have campfires at each individual campsite and firewood is available at the venue. The venue has a full array of conveniences, including 2 facilities with flush toilets and hot showers and other luxurious accommodations. Other venue amenities include a sand volleyball court, horseshoe pits, hiking trails, outdoor/indoor shower facility, full service concessions with food, two music stages, and more!
For your fishing, swimming, and water sports pleasures the venue has a beautiful five-acre natural spring fed lake with sandy beaches, plus the lake has a paddle boat available for your enjoyment with a fixed swimming platform. Many near by hotels/motels to choose from in Black River Falls if outdoor camping isn't your desire!
This is going to be a very deeply humble, and special time for camping and gathering with friends of old and new! The 3G's will be a mix of wonderful music by some of the best Jambands in the midwest playing their original music, along with their selections of two or three Grateful Dead cover songs. Our friends at Mystix Toyz will be on board at the 3G's for tons of family fun with juggling demonstrations, including juggling workshops, face painting, kids parades, plus drum circles and fire dance jams every night!

Hey folks, if you havent heard of Forecatle Festival in Louisville, KY you might want to consider the trip. This years 8th Annual is one the gratest yet, headlines include Widespread Panic (2 nights) Black Keys, Black Crows, Avett Brothers, Zappa Plays Zappa, YonderMSB, and Umphrey's to name a few and many many more TBA.
This Festival is located in beautiful downtown Louisville on the Waterfront on July 10-12, where camping is available, but hurry camping space is becoming limited because of the big names this year. This sould be another special year for the Louisville concert scene. Myself and others will be promoting Forecastle on my radio show "Road Trips" every Tuesday night at 8p.m. to 10 on 99.5 WUDR Dayton, OH or online at http://flyer-radio.udayton.edu/home.htm where you will recieve constant updates and grate live music. Wow, gone the last two years. Fantastic.
Great music, environmentally awesome, great vibes, on an island on a small lake, camping, swimming, guitars and drumming through the trees into the night. Good for families and friends - good kids area.

Mnt jam has consistenly out performed any festival I have attended. The line up is always stellar(Rat dog and Dark star Ochestra last year), NIce late night scene with music in the lodge and in the camping area. The venue consists of mountain vistas and wooded camping areas, There is a beautiful waterfall that has quite envigorating swimming hole. No hassles from secuirty just watch out for the bears!(I like to think of them as the mountain's natural security team)
Ha, now I can see what the hell i'm posting. Others are welcome here too, not just me!
this last post should bump the page to the left finally - thanks for all your indulgence!
Afrofest is an awesome 2-day free festival of African music for anyone near Toronto, ON, Canada. Truly amazing performances by African and diaspora artists - great dancing, drumming, costumes, the works! This year it's July 11 & 12 in Queen's Park Circle, Toronto.
