Welcome to the latest evolution of Dead.Net. Before you start clicking around we just wanted to give you three... no, four, informational gems.

1. We want you to know that this site is going to be ever-improving, ever-evolving and never sitting still. Post your ideas, your wish lists, your hopes for what you wish this site could be. We have a million ideas of our own, and we want to build this 'thing' into the best 'thing' it can be.

2. At the moment, we have not fully merged the community/archives with the store. That means that you are going to have to create a whole 'nother account when you want to go to the store and buy stuff. We are working really hard to make it so that you only need one account. In the meantime, when you do create your User accounts, please use the same email address for both so that we can unite them when the time comes.

3. The store. Yes, the shelves are a little empty right now. We are moving truckloads of merch to a shiny new warehouse, and so it's not all in yet. We will be adding tons of new stuff really soon!

4. That's it! Wander around and check it all out. We hope you're happy with what we're building here, since really, it's all for you.

rip van winkle wakes up!

Hey all. My name is Rick. First show, Col. Ohio '72. Last show, still working on it. First signed up w dead net back in 2000 or so...Then went offline with all electronics. Still don't own a cell phone. Now working off this lap top. Got a few questions for anyone kind enough to help this dinosaur along the way.
First, 'back in the day' there was a forum re '70's shows, tape/CD trading, Miracle tape giveaways, trees etc... Does that 'room' still exist? Where would I find it?
Second, I'd like to find a gd flag, like the one hung atop the great pyramid in '78? Did the gd store ever sell one? Or another site where I could order one?
Have hundreds and hundreds of first gen tapes, hundreds and hundreds CD's obtained from trades, trees, or Dick Picks offerings...anyone need a '69 Boston Ark CD?
Anyhow, if anyone could email at ricomon1026@gmail.com I'd appreciates it!
As Billy K. once said, "they don't have a note value, for the endless whole note"...pretty much says it all...to see infinity in a grain of sand, keep on truckin all!

Eric Abrahamson is my real name--I don't know how to change from

Dear Dead and Company:

I saw Bobby singing "Hard Rain" on You Tube, "Where have you been?", felt like he was talking right to me, and decided to get tix for the Summer Tour. I must've been to almost 200 shows. I went to Shoreline last summer, and both "Fare Thee Wells".

I had surgery around 2003, was pretty sick, and my sister Joan, trustee of my trust fund, took over all my money. I asked her if I could go to both Shoreline shows this year and she said, "I'd rather you didn't," and that includes webcasts. She's a very staunch Republican, but she still may "come around". Where there's life there's hope, is my motto.

I used to go to lots of shows, went on a whole West Coast and East Coast Grateful Dead Tour, but my rich dad went bankrupt in 1993 after his 3 restaurants went out of business. He blamed me for "buying _____ at Grateful Dead concerts," with which I argued. I used to be friends with a roadie named Billy Rose at the New Mexico Hog Farm, Wavy Gravy's adopted son. I met them at Woodstock. Richie Shirley from there used to travel with the
Backstage Crew, and his wife Andrea worked in the office near their San Rafael apartment before they moved to Laytonville.

I don't know if Bobby knows my name, but he seems to recognize me, even from TV?, and I did introduce myself the one time I spoke with him. Of course, I feel very flattered by a personal invitation to the shows. Maybe somebody can tell him, or he'll notice this, that I tried as hard as I could to go on as much of the Summer Tour as possible, and they'll get my apology. Don't think I don't want to be there, but square relatives!

Just popped into my mind: Matthew 8:
21 And another of his disciples said unto him, Lord, suffer me first to go and bury my father.
22 But Jesus said unto him, Follow me; and let the dead bury their dead.

Thanks,
Eric Abrahamson
