Please get the real story, Greg!
your secretary is fucking Columbo! ( -:
I for one, would do my utmost to get to China for any dead related shows (have to have at least Weir, Lesh, Hart, Kreutzman, or TC) for me to really consider it dead related. ( -:
I might even mosey over there in the next year or so... my old lady has been getting a Peking Duck jones like you wouldn't believe... so the question is: is there a really GOOD authentic peking duck restaurant in Shanghai?? (though she prefers the capital city generally speaking) As far as vacation destinations, and other important thangs in life, I am the Boss in the house, but SHE is the decision maker.
enjoy the rest of your travels!!
peace,
CC Joe

Very nice quote. I was actually just listening to Bye Bye Baby Blue from Fall at the Boston Garden. Those were great shows!
About the China shows. I don't know but this agent sold me Roots tickets and others in the past and so from experience they have followed through. There are big acts coming to China and have played China. Anyway Steve may know them better than i, but i like the under dog so lets see what happens. I will send my secretary to their office when i return to China. Being China you always get the real story when meeting face to face.
Cheers
Greg
hey dude,
I remember you. the dead playing in China is total bullshit, Steve fromSingapore commented on how he knew about that tix agent, that just uses name acts to attract people to their site. I even emailed them to ask about it, but never got a reply. anyways, glad to see you here on this site, enjoy Africa!!!
safe travels, happy trails, and go where the climate suits your clothes, by the way, to pick up where all of us left off, go down to the Scene area, check out the spinners spinning free thread... we are all there.
peace,
CC Joe

Hello All,
Well i have been traveling over the last week or so and find myself on the Niger River Delta in Bamako Mali. I have also found that this forum has completely changed. Ok, it looks very cool but i have lost all the conversations and contacts that i once had. If anyone remembers me we were talking about the Dead playing in Shanghai, China. Since there are no Dead Heads in China except for myself and i rarely run into Dead Heads while i am traveling in Europe or Africa, so i was looking forward to hearing good music and meeting people who are actually tuned into the world. Anyway i look forward to picking up where we left off.
Trifecta
cool.
thankx.

I like it...And let me just say Izz, that you and Marye are KICK ASS and are doing a great job.....Us cats from the old dead.net are just stuck in our ways and this new site will take some getting used to.....I think that the GOOD things on this site outweigh the bad by far....
Dead to the Core
Greyfolded, I hear you - I really do. It is not within the current capacity of our open-source software to do that. It's as simple as that - even if we wanted to (and it seems like a fine idea to me!) we don't have to software tools to do it. I'm sorry. We're not actively trying to stymie anyone's creativity or freedoms here.
How about a topic that is topic-less? Just a space to post whatver you want and talk about whatever comes to mind. Would that help?
Why not just have ONE special section where members who want or like to create topics can??? Im not saying make the whole site like that, just one section....Then those who like Free-Form topics can go there and those who don't can stay with the pre-made sections...We just want choices, thats all....And it sound's fair to have 1 section to create things and 20+ other sections that are preset topics.......
