Peace & Love Brothers and Sisters!
welcome to our merry band!
I am always amazed at people who, just by listening or catching a side-project of an original member leap on the bus. Happy listening! May it become the soundtrack for your life, too!
hello my name is mike im 29 from arizona. I started listening to the dead in 2006, and i just wanted to converse with some "like minded" people. I love the sound the dead came to master, especially throughout the 1980"s. I have yet to find music that moves and stirs my spirits the way the deads music does for me every day. I was not fortunate enoughf to see them live however I have acumulated a stellar live show collection,- thanks to those who make it possible to access such an exstensive collection of live dead. So..... how about a joke? why dont dinosaures talk? because their exstinct
while I am sleeping...
thanks, spammer nuked!
Nue science ? That's a new one .. lol..

Those of us who were old enough to attend Philmore East or West in the late 70's may have accounts on FB or other community based websites. However, the main ideology of these social sties lacks the social interaction or active games that we as Deadheads of the 70's era relate to. My request for the new Dead site is to bring streaming dialogue, friend lists, social clubs which relate to our interest as not only lovers of the Dead but music in general. After years on the road with the greatest band in America the memory is a little on the frits. Which I state in a very intellectual way, not in a strung out, laying on the carpet staring at the ceiling tripping daisies, with flies and cigarettes nesting on the last pieces of pizza, in the box it arrived in, strewn our on a coffee table since sometime last week. I'm speaking of the Deadhead with the disadvantage as an adult to remember things based on the amount of over indulging oneself with copious amounts of enjoyment during ones youth. Because of this please keep the website very user friendly. Without the nonsense one deals with on other social websites were the changes happen so often and so much we barley understand the first platform before they change to another platform. My apologies for having just rambled on. My point stated clearer is to have Dead.net implement live chat message boards. I would also love to see the site have streaming music, similar to Archive.org. Where we can pick a concert of our choice. Also streaming video concerts, maybe some live special events specifically when the Dead, here-in and after when mentioning the “The Dead,” I am referring to or rather encompassing all, any, or solo members of the original Grateful Dead, to avoid listing the spin off bands individually. The Dead live stream would cost the Dead.net money, and we as members of the site would dread the commercializing that would be necessary to pay for certain live streaming, I would be more then happy to pay a flat yearly fee to be a member or Dead.net could set up a PPV. Some of these shows aka New years sell out completely deferring the concert to stream live of Dead.net would not hurt the Gate at all and those of us who can not afford to travel to a New Years venue would have the luxury to see it live online. Another words “The Dead” have always been a hands on group to the point that I have yet to be in a setting with Deadheads who I have just introduced myself to at a concert where at least one if not all of those Deadheads have met and engaged in a lengthy conversation with one of the members in “The Dead.” How wonderful it would be to design Dead.net to bring the Deadheads back in touch with other Deadheads during a time when this country is so economically destroyed that many of us do not have the means to attend a show let alone Truck’ in with the band during a spring tour. Please bring us back together, bring back that wonderful carnival atmosphere we once new and loved.
Happy New Year. I just signed up, but saw my first show in .....you guessed it (!!)...'76......College of William and Mary......final in DC in '95.
another opportunity will arise...
gosh!.....what do I do wif the 2nd verse??
