KPFA Grateful Dead Marathon Fundraiser
Saturday February 9th, 2008
From 9AM PST to 1AM PST
The annual KPFA Grateful Dead marathon, produced and hosted by David Gans, is a fund-raiser for America's first listener-sponsored radio station and a station whose history has been entwined with the Dead's since before the band was born. KPFA has broadcast many GD shows from the Greek, Oakland Coliseum, NYE and others, and of course, is the home of the weekly program Dead to the World.
Dead.Net Will donate 10% of each Dick’s Picks Purchase
During the marathon, buy any of the Dick’s Picks series and dead.net will donate 10% of every sale to KPFA. Fill those holes in your collection and support KPFA at the same time.

So many Dick's Picks and so little time ;)
I'm going to get at least 1 or 2.
Dead since 2006.
I catch (most of) this marathon every year, and I always throw a little pittance their way. I'll be around to tune in sometime in the evening.
As a 25-year show host on another listener-supported non-commercial radio station, I really appreciate KPFA and all that they do. In this era of homogenized corporate radio elsewhere on the dial, we really need to support stations like KPFA that present such unique programming, with no commercial backing. Even if you can only spare a few bucks, please send some their way and help them continue to bring us the Dead marathon every year, Dead To The World every week, and lots of other great programming that you won't hear anywhere else!
Hey, I just tried going into the chat room, and it said; "You have been kicked out. Further abuse will result in permanent banning". What'd I do? What'd I do? I didn't even try to post anything! I swear, Your Honor, I didn't do it!
"If there are problems with the DeadNet chat room, we have one at gdhour.com that we can use. Stay tuned."
We used it last year if I remember right. No need to open another account until I got here this morning. Either one is good enough for me...
Gotta support this great institution and need many more
Dick's Picks to complete my collection.
Thanks to all those involved at KPFA and Dead.net
Don't have enough shows from the 60s, plus
this is one of the rare DP from Chicago, my hometown.
Keep the feed rockin, KPFA!!
good music, good times.
